See ehn, one of the things that ruin relationships is when couples don& #39;t live consciously. We just act without minding the effect on those we love. In 2013, my ex and I went on a double date with my friend Ann and her BF. I also learned to never ever go on a double date again

So back then I used to watch all em series that made going on double dates look cute; and when Ann suggested it, I jumped on it. I liked Tega, her BF. In my opinion he was the sweetest person ever and the way he treated Ann ehn. Let& #39;s just say bae was lucky I was a good geh.
Day of the date, we all arrived at this cozy, new restaurant in Enugu. So we ordered and dinner started. We all played catch up; Ann was already working. Bae was a banker and Tega had just lost his job, Ann announced that "Tega was fired for incompetence"

We soon finished dinner and it was time to pay. Ann became increasingly upset and when Tega asked her if she had his ATM, he wasn& #39;t prepared for the "Why are you worried? It& #39;s not like there& #39;s anything to steal"
At that point I dragged my girl outside for a talk.

I asked Ann what& #39;s wrong and didn& #39;t give her a chance to go & #39;It& #39;s well& #39; on me. That& #39;s when she told me how the relationship had taken a sour turn after she caught Tega sexting with this girl. In her words, "Instead of looking for a job, he has time to try and cheat"
She admitted that Tega did the sexting thing just once and he& #39;d been attending interviews, though. So why was she so angry? Ann didn& #39;t know. I asked her if she was tired of the relationship and she said no. So why was my friend so angry at Tega? I kept asking Ann why she was angry, and she kept saying she wasn& #39;t. I wouldn& #39;t let my sweet friend go home like that, so I kept asking and finally she admitted she was under serious pressure at work. And to make it worse, her idiot boss wanted to screw her or she& #39;s fired.
So this boss wanted to marry Ann as a second wife and he was constantly buying her gifts and stuff. So I asked her if she& #39;d told Tega all these and my friend said "If my so called boyfriend can& #39;t see that I have issues, why should I tell him anything?"

Just to be sure, I asked her how Tega was supposed to know she had issues if she didn& #39;t tell him and she said "It& #39;s his job to know when his girlfriend is not happy" . Wait oo, so guys could read minds and girls couldn& #39;t ? I legit thought My BF must be a girl, then. This life
So basically my friend was mad at her BF for something he didn& #39;t even know he was doing wrong because she wouldn& #39;t tell him what he didn& #39;t even know he was supposed to be doing? You guys have superpowers . Lesbians have superpowers too . How do y& #39;all date chics?!

The rest of the date was a disaster. Bae kept complaining about his cash and Ann couldn& #39;t smile or stop picking at Tega. If Ann had just talked to Tega, she& #39;d not be so cranky. It& #39;s not anybody& #39;s responsibility to make you happy in this life.
Well, I relocated to Lagos and lost contact with Ann. So last week, I ran into a very frosh looking Tega. Uncle now works with an oil servicing company in Lagos. He and Ann broke up when she got promoted at work. And guess who& #39;s going to see The Avengers with him this weekend?
