IMO, @CoinText represents one of the most basic and simple user experiences in crypto. As of late, I have been asking if (why) we should remain as $BCH-only and, if not, what additional coins would be appropriate. The answer to this question contains keys for a coin& #39;s success...
The $BCH community (developers, users, evangelists) is large enough that you can actually crowd-source very effectively, right on Twitter, without encountering much trolling at all - lots of signal, very little noise. So, I began this thread: https://twitter.com/vinarmani/status/990713026088235010">https://twitter.com/vinarmani...
CoinText is built as an "adoption engine." We wanted to find the most frictionless way to onboard ANYONE, including Grandma, to crypto. In that way, it is an experiment in what properties are essential for ensured adoption. Here is what I have settled on:
Technically:
1. A coin MUSt be able to do 0-conf or the equivalent. Funds must functionally be shown as having been transferred "instantly" and must be available to be respent immediately by the recipient.
2. Mining fees must be below 1 cent US.

Community:
A coin must have a global community that is actively and passionately evangelizing on behalf of the network, not for speculative reasons, but instead with the purpose of spurring IMMEDIATE real use as a token of utility (right now that is as actual, spendable money).

As I looked at the landscape, there are currently only two tokens that have these properties: $BCH and $DASH
My prediction is that the next two years in crypto will belong to these two networks. It will be interesting to see which incentive model is able to sustain itself best.

Aaand, it turns out I intuited all of this back in November
