Some of the brothers out there won’t like this, and if that’s the case then good for you. It’s true that some left-leaning Muslim women adopted feminist jargon & attitude. But also a lot of brothers are just adopting alt-right reactionism too. Neither is the Prophetic guidance.

Extremism is worse than sin

I was just shown some absolute GARBAGE that some brothers are saying to young Muslim women, traditional sisters even in hijab relying on the Sunna -not modernists, liberals or even feminists- and just because it concerns women they want put them down misusing rulings and hadiths.

Imam Nawawi: (paraphrasing) the “lacking intellect” hadith was an expression of exaggeration “mubalagha” related to one specific incident and no mujtahid imam has ever based a single ruling nor established a general principle based on that hadith.

I find this hadith to be akin to the “hitting verse” 3:43 - they are a type of mutashabih that you find as the Quran says “only those perverse of heart chasing after them trying to interpret them in their own way.”

Refutation done by some intelligent more mature brothers is one thing. I admire that. But when it turns into a scenario of non-stop argumentation that breeds nothing but bitterness in the hearts of believers, then it’s misguidance, ego and fitna.

We believe in the idea of “man of the house.” Because that’s whom Allah will question if things go wrong. He doesn’t question the wife or the kids or the grandma. If he can create an environment where his family loves the deen and is happy in their life, then he succeeded.

FYI - the same word darb is used about the scarf laying on the chest to cover it. The verse means if you see your wife doing a major harm to herself or the family like drugs or zina, then you may physically restrain that. ... “He guides many by it (the Quran) and misguides many.”
