a thread of eddie kaspbrak being richie tozier’s main priority !
starting off with the most important scene of them all thank you very much
richie could have died in that house too but guess what he was only concerned about eddie almost being killed !
i don’t even need to say anything on this one you all know why it’s important
there was so much going on and even then, richie was only concerned about getting eddie help
richie’s automatic reaction was to comfort eddie even when he was already in pain do you all see a pattern here cause i do
richie was the first to reach out and try to help eddie climb down the rope because he knew how difficult it would be for eddie and continued to help
as soon as eddie was in the the greywater richie was telling him to get out, and he remembered that eddie wanted nothing to do with it from earlier on when they were in the sewers the first time
then, as soon as the bodies appeared, instead of running for his own life, richie rather grabbed eddie and told him he had him and got him out of there
richie was terrified to go down that well because he had a pretty good idea of what he’d find, and even then he was still making jokes to try and make eddie laugh
here we have richie looking over to make sure that eddie is okay, but he didn’t check on anyone else, just eddie
part of richie had to know that eddie wasn’t in that room as he never even entered the room he was already in, but at the small chance that eddie was, he went in anyways
it was richie’s automatic reaction to pull eddie up to make sure he was safe, rather then be concerned about himself, he was focused on eddie
in this one, eddie needs to use his inhaler and almost as if he knew eddie was struggling, richie begins to look over
and then here we have a really low quality gif but it’s clear that richie’s full attention is on eddie, he wants to make sure eddie is okay and doesn’t need help
look at how hesitant richie is to grab eddie’s hand because he knows that the blood is going to stay on eddie’s cast, while the scene shows richie grab bill’s hand with no problem
this one is more of eddie being concerned about richie, but i still feel it’s important. there’s nothing showing richie ask eddie to get him ice cream, eddie just does it, and he didn’t get it for anyone else either
if you’ve seen the movie you know this scene. richie was absolutely terrified of what was behind that door but guess what? he got through it because it meant getting to eddie, he had to get to eddie
upon getting through the door, richie’s only focus is on getting to eddie, and as soon as pennywise is out of the way, he does just that
i know it’s hard to see in this gif, but eddie trips (over richie’s bike because richie just dropped it yes) and instead of continuing into ben’s house, he waits for eddie and makes sure he’s okay
this whole scene is a playful argument yes, but richie also couldn’t care less about bill and stan during this, his only focus is on talking to eddie
this is similar to the first gif, but i’m putting it in because of what richie says here. richie is terrified of pennywise walking directly at him, but if it means eddie has something else to look at besides the clown, he doesn’t care
finally from this scene, i feel it’s important to note how richie gently sets his hand on eddie’s knee, in a comforting way almost
this scene should have been put in the movie. no doubt. even as eddie is walking off for the final time, richie is still only concerned about him, he doesn’t care about anyone else around him
another incredibly important scene. richie was absolutely losing it over his missing poster but even when bill is talking directly to him, guess who he’s looking at? eddie, it’s always eddie
when mike kicks the projector, richie is holding eddie back and trying his best to protect him, and if you watch until the end of the gif you’ll see he’s still holding onto eddie at the end
this one is really hard to see unless you pay close attention to the movie, but if you look richie is actually helping eddie with his inhaler
i’m back after all this time to provide a much better quality gif. eddie is richie’s only focus and concern. at this moment, richie didn’t care about anyone except eddie and making sure he was okay
also, you can’t tell me richie hugged anyone else the way he hugged eddie here. this is something that should be talked about more, it says a lot about these two
