The more I think about it, the more I want to see Heyman turn on Brock and go with Roman. Heyman could negate, or facilitate, WHATEVER reaction they want Roman to get. Heyman is THAT good.
Also, it gives WWE a built in story for if/when Brock decides he wants to take more of their money and have another match with Roman. In fact, it could probably happen sooner than Brock would have originally wanted as it would be different.
I'm assuming Heyman wants to stick around after his contract (rumor) expires after Mania 34. If he does, pairing the two is great, because controversy.
You can't tell me you wouldn't be invested in Heyman regularly cutting promos about the Samoan Savage Roman Reigns.
And, who better to flip "make Reigns look strong" than Heyman saying some shit like, "you don't HAVE TO MAKE him look strong!"?
Lastly, I'd use it to turn Reigns heel and give all those babyfaces a white hot heel to work with. Yes, Heyman can even make the grown man audience hate a heel.
So then you can start building up Reigns/Lesnar 3 if you so please... or continue to build up Strowman who just can't seem to get the job done with Reigns for whatever reason (Roman getting DQ'd >>>)
And at Mania 35 after Braun wins the Rumble, you can finally have the payoff of Braun as the top babyface (on RAW, because let's face it, DB is the most over baby in the world)
