Thread 🙏🙏👇👇
1. Never Ever Tolerate Evil

Lord Shiva never tolerated injustice. He is the destroyer of all evil things. He was fair even when destroying the rakshasas according to the Hindu texts. We should work towards zero-tolerance of evil around us and take a firm stand against injustice.
2. Exercise Self Control

When in control, everything falls into place. Self-control is the key to a great life. It keeps one focused, aligned and determined.
3. Anger is never the answer

Lord Shiva is Maha Yogi as he meditated for hours and it was through his cool intellect the well-being of our universe severely depend on. Only extremities disturbed his mind and resulted in rage.
Therefore, when fighting life’s battles, anger is never the answer. It will force you to do the extreme which achieves nothing. Being cool and calm will help you get a new perspective and win over your battles.
4. Happiness does not equal to materialism

If you have nothing it doesn’t mean you are missing out in life. Being attached to wealth or assets only leads to being tied down – physically, mentally and emotionally.
5. Take it in your stride

No matter what comes our way, we need to be prepared and take it in our stride.
6. Your Obsession will be your downfall

According to ancient Hindu text, Ramayana, Ravana’s obsession over Sita led to his end. Therefore, your obsession will lead to nothing but your own destruction. Lord Shiva never obsessed over anything and was free from all desires.
7. Nothing lasts forever

We human beings have a tendency to hoard things – possessions, people, relationships and, of course, feelings. But everything has a shelf-life and nothing will last forever. We need to learn to move on and be ready to face whatever comes our way.
8. Research will fetch new avenues

Always research before you start something new. Ganga Ma, encased in Lord Shiva’s hair represents the end of ignorance. Denial doesn’t help anyone and therefore, it is important to gather information before you plan to start anything new.
9. Respect your spouse/partner

Lord Shiva is also known as Ardhanarishwar and therefore, His wife, Mata Parvati was an essential part of him. He always treated her with the utmost respect. She was his Shakti and Shiva can never be apart from strength.
10. A person’s ego is the biggest cause of all obstacles. Ego has ruined many goals, relationships, ideas, and dreams. It makes one bitter and aloof. Lord Shiva carried the Trishul to keep his ego in check. He never let his emotions get the better of himself.
