i feel like i have to say this every other day but i am NOT HERE for the disparagement of accredited zoos and other conservation institutions

saying anything negative about *ACCREDITED* institutions just shows that you Do Not Understand how conservation works.

guess what. you’re right. zoos exploit animals in captivity for entertainment and money. money that funds their care and also conservation efforts that KEEP other animals alive and in the wild

also. conservation doesn’t just mean “saving all animals”. a lot of the time it means culling invasive species or inbred lines or starting controlled burns of habitats. it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and baby pandas rolling around on playsets.

basically just STOP saying dumb stuff on my timeline
