I love that they managed to pull of this gag successfully in Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf (ps1)
also this is one of the best looking ps1 games, hands down, it almost looks like a low poly wind waker
(im genuinely curious how they did these environment shadows on ps1, they seem baked in some way but i don't think they're part of the textures)
this gag is pretty good too
the animation in this game is so damn good
and the soundtrack is excellent
i love how they handled the tricky animation task of changing into a sheep suit
the art choices made for movable ice blocks are very nice, it's basically a mesh with a transparent texture with a smaller, opaque mesh inside. it conveys the "cloudyness" of ice well in terms of the game's cartoon aestethics
fun fact-there's a pc version of this game as well! resolution aside i think the ps1 visuals have aged better visually, since the black outlines around characters emphasized the lowpolyness of the models while the ps1 art flows together more harmonically
Looks like the guy responsible for front end/rendering engine/animation engine, Stéphane Jeannin, works at Arkane these days
the art lead, Pascal Casolari, was also a lead artist on the 2008 Alone In The Dark game
