I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with this display, which has been on the same demo loop for *at least* five years – bei MTA Subway - Delancey St/Essex St (F/J/M/Z)
To be clear I’d be happy if it stayed this was forever
Hadn’t seen this swipeless system in the wild yet (34th St ACE). Seems like a lot of scratch-prone surface area but ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯. Love the added light strip indicator though.
Heading back from the doctors and I spy a track inspection car!! – bei MTA Subway - 14th St (A/C/E/L)
I love New York so much sometimes. I walked by this random building like “oh that’s cool and old” and it turns out it was the first building in the world with an electric elevator: https://daytoninmanhattan.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-1890-demarest-building-nos-335-339.html?m=1
He’s fixing a nearby elevator!
Any infrastructure/architecture nerds know how the hell this is possible? And/or what this new building in nyc is?
When your A train turns into a B train but is still an A train? ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Genuinely curious why this would happen, @NYCTSubway, any thoughts?

Anyone know why these extra/emergency(?) lights would be blinking like this? Second time I’ve noticed it. 14th St uptown A platform (north end). cc @NYCTSubway – bei MTA Subway - 14th St (A/C/E/L)
Can’t tell you how deeply satisfying this change is to the experience of this part of town. A more car-less city is
a future I can get behind.

Oh it’s probably the platform for the new bus service?
I’m digging the MTA’s new drone album.
