In honor of today's Super Bowl halftime headliner, I wanna dedicate a thread as to why Justin Timberlake is trash

While Britney and Justin both publically claimed to be virgins for the tenure of their relationship, their old choreographer Darrin Henson revealed that Justin told him to smell his finger after being intimate with Britney

While still dating Britney, Justin was spotted cozier up with Nicole Appleton from the band All Saints. This sparked Britney and justin break up rumors as justin tried to be secretive about his time with another woman

On the night that Britney and justin were set to appear on SNL together he found a note fromfriend/choreographer Wade Robson in her dressing room. He discovered that Britney was cheating on him. Britney tried to make amends but justin broke it off (even though he cheated 1st)

This my friends is where the shit storm begins. Justin goes solo and releases his first single "Like I love you" which peaks at 12 on the charts despite massive promotion. He decides to switch up his promotional strategy by taking cues from the sexist media

In his Barbara Walters interview he paints himself as a victim then goes on to sing a song about Britney called horrible woman

Every chance he got Justin brought up Britney, even going on hot 97 and admitting very personal details about their sex life

Justin saw the buzz that talking about Britney was garnering and decided to release a second single, "Cry me a river" which many thought was a britney diss

Justin called Britney under the pretense of having a friendly relationship and tricked her into approving a "Britney look alike" for his music video

"Cry Me A River" became an instant hit, and Justin's star continued to rise as the media continued to vilify and slut Shame Britney.

Britney kissed Madonna during their iconic 2003 performance and Justin wasn't happy

He went out of his way to continue talking about Britney and even went on tour with Britney's "nemesis" Christina Aguilera

Besides Britney justin also crossed the line with other female artists. Before nipplegate there was butt gate where Justin grabbed Kylie Minogues butt during their performance

These were his responses to the controversy. He also asked to Kylie if he could grab her butt again and she declined, which he also talked about in an interview.

Justin's star was rising so much so that Janet invited him to perform with her during the 38th Super Bowl halftime show

And although the song was his and justin was that ended up pulling Janet's costume and exposing her breast, Janet was the one that dealt with all of the fall out

Justin faded into the background as Janet took most of the heat for the incident. Janet's music was blacklisted and her album campaigns were sabotaged

During this time Justin had been dating Cameron Diaz for years and had been broken up with Britney for four years at this point. This did not stop him from bringing her up in interviews. While also refocusing questions about the Super Bowl/Janet fiasco to talk about Britney.

To make things worse he released a ballad/rehash of cry me a river as the third single from his album. All while he was still dating Cameron Diaz.

"what goes around...comes around" was Justin's first single about Britney to go #1 and the video paralleled Justin's side of the breakup. All the while, Britney was going through a very public breakdown that stemmed from excessive media scrutiny that started when they broke up

Prince won a golden globe award and Justin was the presenter. As Prince wasn't in the audience, Justin felt compelled to take a jab at his height

The worst offense came in 2007 as a diss track to Janet and Prince on "Give it to me". He made fun of Janet's softspoken nature in the Oprah interview as well as Princes criticisms of sexyback.

Justin also performed Amy Winehouses rehab during a concert as a jab to Britney in the midst of her public mental health struggles

Justin and Famed producer Timbaland tried to capitalize off of Britney's breakdown. They attempted to get Britney in the studio in an attempt to be at the forefront of her comeback narrative but Britney chose to work with his protege Danja instead, embarrassing them both.

While inducting Madonna to the rock and roll hall of fame in 2008, Justin once again took a jab at Britney for being a "Madonna wannabe" and mentioned the kiss

In 2009, Justin went on SNL and did a skit talking about his and Britney's sex life...seven years after their breakup

In 2011, Justin cheated on his girlfriend of four years, Jessica Biel with Olivia Munn and tried to get with Mila Kunis. He lied to Olivia Munn about his relationship status and she promptly broke off the affair. Mila Kunis rejected him.

After realizing that no one else wanted him, Justin reconciled with Jessica and they eventually got married. He began cultivating an image of him as a familyman but continued to cheat on Jessica

Before his album cycle in 2013, Justin predicably started bringing Britney up again. Before a performance of "cry me a river" he called her a bitch

He tried to pretend that his comments were in jest but again the damage had been done

Britney being the class act she is had nothing but words of praise for Justin and even expressed her desires to collaborate with him.

In 2016 while promoting his film "Trolls", he once again brought up Britney and their break up a decade and a half after the fact

In 2016 he was also caught up in controversy over being dismissive about his passivity in regards to the Super Bowl incident as well as his cultural appropriation following Jesse Williams' speech at the BET awards

Justin wore a pin to the golden globes in support of the anti sexual violence movement #metoo but was called out for working with known sexual predator woody Allen and even refused to comment on why he worked with woody.

Last but not LEAST: During promotion for his recent album Justin predictably shaded Britney again, as well as other pop superstars like Mariah, Lady Gaga, and Bruno Mars for doing vegas residencies.
