An occasional series, Examples of Modern Art & Architecture That I Actually Like. Bridget Riley, Eye Attack (1964)
Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright (1938). I know it leaks etc. but as an aesthetic proposition in that location, it just *works*, somehow.
Hermit& #39;s Castle, Achmelvich, David Scott (1950).
Enjoyed this BBC feature on Bauhaus. Not a huge fan of it but did give us some decent-looking buildings. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-46863364">https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-p...
The Lovell House, Los Angeles (1929). Must admit I have a weakness for the International Style, on this kind of scale (the giant buildings, not so much).
Whitelands, Beaconsfield. https://twitter.com/mod_in_metro/status/1351125964227567617?s=20">https://twitter.com/mod_in_me...
