ROBERT “YUMMY” SANDIFER.

CHICAGO’S MOST FEARED TWELVE YEAR OLD.

THE DARK SIDE.

THREAD BELOW @_ValTown_
Some of you probably heard about a kid named Yummy from the South Side who passed away in 1994, most of you don’t.
More frequently I see things on here, people saying things like “Those kids that live in the hood choose to be criminals why can’t they just go to school, get an education, then get a job like normal people” They CAN’T
Most of these children were born into very terrible circumstances and their only way to survive is to do acts out of the ordinary just to enjoy the simple luxuries that some of us have, like getting a decent meal or having decent clothes to wear.
Chicago has always been a very violent place in America. Historically it’s been known for crime. Blacks, Italians, whites and so on were involved.,
In the 1980’s and 1990’s Chicago’s murder rate began to skyrocket, and the city capitalized on its reputation of being a pure gangland in some areas.
Black children from Chicago’s neighborhoods were running the streets trying to get theirs. School wasn’t an option, parents , forget about that. They were on their own, they knew they were on their own so they did what they had to do.
I said Yummy was 12 didn’t I, he was 11 I’m fuckin up already. But on March 12, 1983 Yummy was born in Chicago’s infamous South Side.
Yummy would become the poster child of inner city struggle in America and he had no fuckin clue. His worries were if he would ever stop being abused by his family, and could he find someone to take care of him the way he was supposed to be cared for as a child.
The year after Yummy was born, Benjamin Wilson, ( Pictured below) the number one high school basketball player in the country; got killed down the street from Simeon Career Academy. The same school Derrick Rose and Jabari Parker attended.
Yummy was born to a teenage mother and father. Mother was a crack addict and his father was in prison for drug related crimes. Deemed unfit to take care of her son, Yummy’s mother gave him to his grandmother.
Yummy’s mother would beat him until welts showed up on his legs and he had cigarette burns on his shoulders and backside.
Yummy is from the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago.
Yummy’s Grandmother’s house was filled with 19 people as residents. Leaving him open to continued neglect, so he began to lash out and misbehave. Misbehave BADLY.,
Over the years that house became packed with up to 40 people living there. In and out. Really annoying. Social workers realized that Yummy’s grandmother wasn’t too much more different than his mother. No hope for the child.
As Yummy got older, he seen that no one cared about him but himself and he had to do something to stay alive or he was going to die very soon. So he did just that. He quit school at 8 years old and ran the streets of Chicago.
He started stealing cars and mastered driving before he was 10 years old. Yummy began to rob people for anything they had, he became cold, he was hurt, disorientated, and he was in the field with wolves.
A neighbor said Yummy would ask a kid for 50 cents, if the child was scared and gave it to him anyway; he would ask for another 50 cents and just take it. He had every element of neighborhood bullies packed in one 4”6 inch body.,
Yummy got the respect of people in the neighborhood even though he was a small child, so he makes a little team. No one fucked with them.
Underneath the Terror that Yummy brought to the streets, he was very loving towards his close friends; as he would often spend the night at their houses so he could have somewhere comfortable to stay.
Because he could drive so well, Yummy had a liking for cars. Lincoln’s, Cadillac’s, etc
Yummy’s neighbors couldn’t stand him, he became a menace to society. And didn’t care about anyone who had something to say. There was no fear in the young Chicagoan. He was coming to get his by any means necessary.
He found himself caught up with the Black Disciples, which turned out to be a fatal move. Black Disciples were known for being criminals in every sense of the word. Indulging in all types of crime throughout the South Side and there was plenty of work for everybody.
Black Disciples often used Children as drug runners or hit men because they weren’t old enough to receive serious punishment for their crimes. Yummy got caught up with law enforcement over and over but kept getting released. He felt untouchable.
