Went to an Art Exhibition in Cape Town yesterday... and all I have to say is that sometimes parents shouldn't be supportive of their kids' dreams

Part 1: Are you being for real?
Part 2:

Literally a man said to the people around him "is this an installation or is it broken glass. Should we be careful?" and everyone acted like he was crazy. I told him he is not alone.
Part 3:

There is a guy selling a painting of what's seems to be bolting in buckets. He is also selling it for R4600 cause his lecturers said that's how much that painting would go for.

I was like "you not fooling me today Satan"
Part 4:

Took me 5 minutes to work out that this was the artist because I didn't know if it was an art installation. DOES ANYBODY EVEN FUCKING KNOW WHAT AN INSTALLATION REALLY FUCKING IS.

No we don't.
Part 5:

These are only 4 pics but all 200 were blurred and I'm not lying there were 20 people looking at these photos all at once and I kept on going "someone who took these pics can't operate a camera phone".
Part 6:

Now i was mad confused cause I saw people staring at this living room and not living in the living room. Everyone admired it. I was like "shit Tv"
Part 7:

This was called "collecting dust". I was shook. I had no words to explain how many of these people were taking chances. This is what happens when you don't make a deadline and you bullshit your lecturer. NO IT IS ART SIR I PROMISE YOU.
Part 8:

I didn't have an explanation for any of this. Every once in a while I would ask a person that looked as confused as me if they understood and they were like "no. Help me."
Part 9:

This was the cleverest one. In the ear buds it says "nip" ... like "nip in the bud"

But that could be real ear wax and then this is just disgusting.

You can tell me all you want about how I don't understand art now 🙃
