I accidentally deleted the thread of me finishing terrible Xbox 360 games I bought from CEX for £1 and giving them, and other games I ever play through, a score out of 10. So I shall bore you and restart it.
50 Cent Blood On The Sand - Generic third person shooter that tries to get away with being deliberately bad by throwing in some sort of arcade scoring system. 50 is annoying, it cheats you constantly. I beat it on hard and wanted to die throughout. 2/10.
Section 8 - One of these games that make their campaign just multiplayer matches with bots that have cut-scenes between them. 3 hour campaign. Looks horrible, plays worse. Came out in 2009 and it genuinely would be a terrible game still in the PS2 era. 2/10
Army of Two: Devil's Cartel - Not as good as the first two games in the series, quite a generic story and obvious twists are obvious throughout. Plays well though and isn't broken. Looks ok for the time. Won't amaze you, won't disappoint you either throughout its 8 hours. 6/10.

Brutal Legend - Brutal indeed. Shite console RTS and average hack n slash. Jack Blacks annoying and everyone involved in this game is probably a "only metal is real music" type because thats what this game is. I didn't even finish this one. Says it all. 2/10
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Decent game. Not sure if its still considered canon post Disney but its a nice wee filler story between Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One. A bit broken at times but played well on the whole. Boss battles weren't too exciting and reptitive. 7/10.
Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2 - Combat felt better. Felt like an actual Jedi from the start but still let you grow stronger over the game. Looked quite glod. Acting was really good. Story was tame. Game was too short. Vaders battle at the end lasted longer than some levels. 7.5/10
Sherlock Holmes: The Devils Daughter - I was surprised by how good the last one (Crimes and Punishment) was, and this ones more of the same. A few sequences were dragged out but your decisions felt like they mattered and the puzzles were a good challenge. 8/10
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - Brilliant game. Appeals to the 80s B movie fan inside me. Loads of references to old action sci-fi films. Deliberately cheesy but always funny. Only takes 6 hours to 100% but its a nice wee break from massive 30 hour campaigns. 9/10.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengence - I wanted to hate this game so badly. And at many points I did. But after walking away from it twice in the space of 3 days something kept pulling me back. So horrifically hard but, when mastered, so enjoyable. Wont ever play it again though. 8/10.
Assassins Creed: Rogue - Bridges gaps between 3, 4, leads into Unity. Sounds confusing but actually works well. Better game than Unity. Nice world but New York wasn't exciting and far too small. Sailing was never my fav in recent AC games either. Recycled modern day sections 7/10
Inversion - A awfully generic third person shooter and a total Gears of War rip-off. Everything is the same. Gravity gimmick isn't fun. Boss fights are repeated constantly. Boring story. The only positive is that its playable and doesn't look awful but I wouldn't bother. 4/10.
MGS V- I'll give it a score now despite only doing Chapter 1 (which took me 75 hours btw) and I cba doing Chapter 2 for a while. Great game with so much to do. Never really got bored of any of it. Story was a bit weak by MGS standards but does ok. All in all a masterpiece. 9.5/10
Tales from the Borderlands - Up there as far as Telltale games go. The Borderlands art style and humour lends itself well to Telltales formula. The writers clearly had fun coming up with random stuff for this. Some sequences are dragged out but on the whole very enjoyable. 8/10
Hearts of Iron IV - Played it for 8 hours straight with a mate. Went the USSR. Sided with my mates Germany in WWII. Got caught up in a Russian civil war. Somehow started WWII 2 years early. Started an Estonian Civil War. Killed France and they came back. Still only 1940 - 10/10
Payday 2 - Really fun and really hectic 4 player co-op shooter. You could probably play this game alone for months on end. But it's loot drop system and confusing amount of DLC's hamper the progression. Gameplay and soundtrack are excellent though. - 8.5/10
Trials of the Blood Dragon - Another game in great universe. If the original Far Cry game was like an 80s Sci Fi film then this is the 80s kids show spin off and it works so well. The gameplay is hit and miss. Bike sections are fun & not too challenging. Platforming is dull. 8/10
Superhot - An interesting idea that mixes FPS and puzzles, maintains its level of interest just long enough to beat the game before becoming stale. A creepy plot that becomes a bit too obsessed with itself towards the end. Fun time killer if you can grab it cheap or free. 6.9/10
Mafia 3 - Story is decent, New Bordeaux is interesting, as is the time period. But the gameplay is horrifically repetitive. Shooting and stealth mechanics are decent. Driving is poor and meant trips between missions were dull. Graphics were decent especially in cutscenes. 6/10
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate - Story is tame and a bit uninteresting. London is amazing and the game looks great overall. A lot of busy work side missions that bring nothing to the table after doing 2 or 3 of them already. Its fine. Nothing a amazing. Glad they took a break. 7/10.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins - Egypt is gorgeous and the story is interesting. Combat is better than ever and bows are a welcome addition. RPG elements improve the franchise tenfold. But a dull, yet extensive, list of grindy side quests made the game drag towards the end. 8/10
Sine Mora EX (Switch Edition) - Really tough retro shooter. Not very long and maybe could have done with another 3 or 4 stages added on, but plenty of arcade mode patter. I enjoyed playing through it, and being on Switch made it easy to pick up and play. Story was weird. 7/10.
The Order 1886 - Glorified tech demo. One of the best looking games ive played but there is far too much guff between short action bits. Shooting was passable but there is v little gameplay. I didn’t hate it but it’s not great. Campaign was short which helped it score. 6/10
The Legend of Zelda: BOTW - Fantastic game and I loved it. Massive and varied world with some memorable moments. Story can be a bit light and I would have liked a bit more to the main quest line but it does just enough. Could spend months doing side stuff though. 9/10
Wolfenstein 2 (Switch) - Ported over well. Resolution can noticeably drop but never lags or stutters. Game itself is great. Old school mental FPS. Very graphic. Great characters. Would have liked some more disguised moments to see the world itself more. Worth trying it. 8.5/10
Batman Arkham Knight: Cracking game. Think its the right time to end it for a while or revamp the gameplay as it’s been too similar for 10 years nearly. Still fun to play though and the story is brilliant. Use of the Joker is fantastic as well. - 8./10
Gears of War 4: The game that came probably 5 years too early. Would have been a great nostalgia trip if they left more time between 3 and 4. More humorous writing. Still very much a Gears game. You know what you’re getting, nothing really new. But worth the 7 hours - 8/10
Halo Wars: An okay console RTS. Weak story. Campaign doesn’t overstay its welcome and wraps up just in time before it gets boring. If you’re into RTS games this won’t be up there with your favourites but it’ll do. If you’re mad into Halo itself this may not be your thing - 7/10.
Kingdom Hearts (PS4 Remake): Brilliant game. Don't be fooled by cute Disney exteriors, this is a very serious JRPG. Tested me more than I thought it would. Story is fantastic. Some world design hasn't aged well and a bit too much "guess what I'm thinking" for next steps - 9/10.
Star War Battlefront 2: Looks amazing. Plays well as a shooter and the flying segments are fun. A nice, yet short, 6 hour campaign that has a few lovely locations and shows story between Return of the Jedi and Force Awakens. New Characters are a bit meh however. - 8.5/10
Murdered: Soul Suspect - The idea is really interesting, some of its concepts in gameplay are smart. But it’s all underwhelming in its usage. After 2 hours you’ve seen everything the game has to offer and the story isn’t exactly spectacular. Honestly, I’d skip this one. - 5/10.
Livelock - A SciFi twin stick shooter. Doesn’t really do anything new to the genre and even on the hardest difficulty the game offers next to no real challenge. Story is weak/pointless. But it is a fun game nonetheless and worth the 4 hour campaign Easy achievements too. 6/10.
Red Dead Redemption 2 - Stunningly vast and varied world with a well written story that I didn’t want to end. The best R* game I’ve played (Except Bully obv). So much to do that you could genuinely play 100+ hours of side stuff. A masterpiece in every sense of the word. 10/10
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories -

Odd entry with a card based combat system. I enjoyed it enough but I prefer the hack n slash. Deck building for bosses is fun. The story is really nice and doesn’t get too over complicated. Same environments from KH1 make it drag a bit. 8/10
Kingdom Hearts Reverse/Rebirth - I enjoyed the story and exploring Riku’s struggle was appreciated as well as his budding bromance with Micky. But gameplay was became stale and the environments were dull. Thankfully it wasn’t too long (5/6 hours). Just watch it on YouTube. 6/10.
Yakuza 0 - Amazingly built world with a strong story that kept me interested for the near 35 hours. However novelty side activities didn’t offer much after the first visit and over reliance on combat meant gameplay wise the game felt a bit repetitive. Still brilliant. 8.5/10
South Park: The Fractured But Whole. - Hilarious writing and an enjoyable story kept me entertained throughout the 15 or so hours. They took a risk with the battle system but it worked well. World puzzles weren’t challenging and were far too repetitive. 8/10
Telltale’s Batman - Audio and visual hiccups hamper what is a really enjoyable Batman story. The sloppiest Telltale game I’ve played. Gameplay is very thin, even for Telltale. It’s definitely worth the play through for the story though if you like like this style of game. 6/10
Killzone: Shadow Fall - Solid shooting mechanics and great sounding weapons. But clunky and rotten level design, a poor story, and generally just being really boring to play made me really dislike it for the most part. Couldn’t wait for it to end. Don’t bother. 5/10.
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune - For an 11 year old game it holds up fantastically well. Graphics still look lovely for its age. Gameplay is nice if a little dry. Story is the right pace despite a slow early third. Thought I’d hate the twist at the end but ended up enjoying it. 8/10
Since its the end of 2018 I’m gonna put my Favourite game of the year vs my worst game. Only game i played count regardless of what year they were released cause its my thread.

GOTY: Red Dead Redemption 2

Worst game: Inversion.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - More of the same. Felt a bit grander having visited multiple and varied locations that at the time would have, and still somewhat do, looked fantastic nearly 10 years ago. Same pacing issues and not a lot new to the gameplay but still solid. 8/10.
Ashen - Never been into Dark souls, this is more welcoming though. Side quests are good. Main quest is okay. AI/Co-op is a nice addition but can break sometimes. Boss fights are either too dull or too hard. Won’t impress any hardcore Souls players but may appeal to novices 7.5/10
The Banner Saga 1 - Very interesting yet brutal story that makes you question yourself at every choice. Minimalistic design can be nice at times but overall feels thin. Turn based combat is fun to play but nothing new to the genre. Looking forward to carrying it on in 2. 8/10.
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception - More of the same really. Presentation is still top notch and its use of locations is stellar. Gameplay is still functional if not a bit repetitive by this point. Some sections felt too long and dragged out. Puzzles seemed to be dialled back. 8/10
The Banner Saga 2 - Story turns it up a notch. A lot of hard decisions to make too. Better production value to cinematics and some minor changes to combat make it feel a bit fresh. Can’t trust anyone. End felt a bit messy but hopefully 3 rectifies that. 8.5/10.
Kingdom Hearts 2 -

Improves on the few negative aspects of the first game. Feels a lot more focused. Story is intricate but brilliant. Everything is just massively better. Loved every world too. Slow intro can feel a drag but worth it for story pay off. 10/10
Banner Saga 3 -

The conclusion of a very well written story. Decisions from games 1 and 2 mattered so much still. Could replay this a hundred different ways. A rushed final chapter though was a slight blemish on an otherwise fantastic game. 8.5/10
Crackdown 3 - An absolute disaster. It’s nothing more than about 6/7 hours worth of mindless action with poor level design, boring writing and a lifeless world. Played most of it with films on in the background. What a waste of 5/6 years of development. Such a shame.

4/10.
Ni No Kuni 2 - Lovely story with fantastic art design. Soundtrack is brilliant. Combat is fun and can both be simple and in depth. Kingdom building is a good idea but feel like a mobile game, and its importance in the late game can make it feel a bit grindy. 8.5/10
Valkyria Chronicles -

Gorgeous artstyle, great voice acting, and strong story carry an okay strategy game that unfortunately finds itself dragging its heels after half way through. There is a good game here behind its frustrating design flaws. But hard to ignore them all.

8/10
1979 Revolution -

Based on the Iranian revolution and its handled very well and also is educational on the matter. The Telltale formula works well. Does feel a bit rough around the edges. 2 hour run time hampers the story and it feels rushed in the final 3rd. Very cheap.

7.5/10
Shadow of War - Game relies too much on the Nemesis system and gets dull quickly. The game can feel reptitive and grindy between missions and fort battles. You’ve seen everything the game has after 6 hours but lasts 20. Looks great and the combat works. Story is decent.

7/10
The Last Of Us - Amazing world and visuals are top notch. The writing is excellent and the voice acting is stellar. Gameplay is a bit reptitive and basic for my liking which made it a slow start for me but after a few hours the story hooked me in.

9/10
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Probably the best season so far of the 3 I’ve played. Pacing was great, everything was brutal. Characters were all brilliant. The same Telltale game issues are present such as being heavily unpolished and thin on gameplay.

8.9/10
Uncharted 4:

Brilliant way to end the Nathan Drake story. Graphics are brilliant and the setting/story is the strongest in the series. The gameplay is similar with a few nice additions. Probably the best Uncharted game for me. Might have been longer than needed though.

9.5/10
Doom (Switch) - Looks amazing and runs well for a handheld version. Its highly repetitive but core gameplay is fun enough in short bursts. Story starts non-existent then starts to show half way. If you like run n gun shooters go for it but if you like narrative then avoid

7.5/10
KH: Birth By Sleep - Very impressive for a PSP port. Combat is okay, nothing amazing. The story is decent but not my favourite. Probably the messiest part of the timeline to understand how it all fits in. 3 bitesize campaigns made playing it nice n easy to jump in and out

8/10
Nier: Automata -

Bizarre, heartbreaking, uplifting, but always sensational. Rollercoaster of emotions plot and an ambitious game that pulls off every different gameplay element it attempts with success. One of my favourite titles I’ve ever played.

Masterpiece.

10/10
La Noire (Switch) - A game that hasn’t aged well and generally too repetitive and slow for its own good. Overarching plot was a dull and the detective work just feels a bit flat. The port itself has a lot of graphical issues. Probably best avoiding despite its price now. 5/10
Last of Us: Left Behind - A cute 2/3 hour gap filler. Expands on Ellie as a character more and generally has nice fun moments to see. But much like Last of Us in general it hits hard in other bits. Didn’t outstay its welcome but didn’t reinvent the wheel either.

8.5/10
Yakuza Kiwami - Didn't drag as much as Zero but the story itself was a bit weaker. Side activities are still fun to do but some aren't that interesting. Side stories are still mental and funny. Combat is the same which is fine but not excellent.

8/10
Minecraft Story Mode S1 -

The weakest Telltale story except from one hard hitting moment. The Minecraft world is cute and it’s definitely the more family friendly Telltale game but adults may find it dull. The nods to the source game were nice.

Reuben will be remebered.

6/10
COD WW2 -

The usual, visually stunning, well polished FPS. Nice to revisit WW2 but I felt it was missing some of the big name battles after Normandy was done. Stealth isn't fun. Story was okay but the acting was good. Worth the 6 or so hours that it takes to play.

7.9/10
Final Fantasy XV -

A very enjoyable RPG and combat system with a lovely open world and strong "Bromance" vibes. Story can be a bit loose and the last quarter of the game felt rammed with information with one Chapter being a drag. Worth the 30-40 hours it will take.

8.5/10
Gears 5 -

More of the same. Story is decent and builds up well for 6. The switch in protagonist works well. Open world idea was nice but didn't really do it for me and it felt far too empty (gameplay wise). If you like the Gears games you'll be fine with this.

8/10
Untitled Goose Game - Fairly fun. Quite creative and humorous. Worth the couple of hours you can spend with it. But not much replay ability and some puzzles are repeated too often, probably a tad overpriced if you don’t get it on Game Pass etc. 7/10
Spiderman - One of the better Spiderman games in a long time. Swinging around New York was fun and combat worked well. The array of villains was well appreciated. But stealth sections with MJ and Miles weren't particularly great and the side activities were a bit repetitive. 8/10
Batman Enemy Within - Different approach to Batman and some enemies. The relationship with Joker is sensational, and the focus on Bruce Wayne's personal struggles over Batman's is interesting. Middle episodes felt bit dragged out and some loose ends weren't really tied up. 8.5/10
COD: MW Remaster - Still as brilliant as it was when 14 year old me first picked it up. Campaign is fun and iconic. Veteran was a challenge but doable. Online is still a classic and the best version of any COD imo.
