1. Have you ever looked at the world and wondered how we messed things up so bad? Generally, speaking, if things aren’t meant to be this way and they’ve pretty much been the same since creation, how else could it possibly have been?

2. So, a few days ago, my car was driving like I was towing an elephant sleeping on its side till eventually, both the elephant and my car passed out. I popped the bonnet and to be honest, it just looked like one big, fused piece of metal.

3. Luckily, passing by in public transport, a friend saw me & he stopped & offered to HELP. We hadn’t seen in so many years & of course, I had to be sure he was in a position to help. He was warm & explained he was a trained engineer who spent time designing and fixing cars.

4. What a relief.
Fortunately, he was coming from work so he had his tools & promptly got to work on the car. I’d admit that he worked like he knew what he was doing, but my ego didn’t allow me let him work asI kept insisting on directing and instructing him on what to do...

5. & I never let him forget I was successful & he wasn’t (since I had a car & he didn’t), & he must follow my orders. Poor guy was in the middle of nowhere, stuck with obnoxious me & getting my car going was the only way he, & I could leave yet, he had to follow my orders.

6. Needless to say, we both ended up quite stranded, frustrated and angry.

7. The scenario I’ve painted above isn’t uncommon & I’d expect you to come to a similar conclusion as everyone else - "I was an idiot who deserved no help at all and now dragged my helper into a big mess."

8. You see, from the meaning and implication of the word “HELP”, you must be in an inferior position compared to your helper, at least in the area that you need help.
In John 14:16, we were promised “paraklétos” - translated as advocate, consoler, intercessor and HELPER.

9. The helper we were promised was intended to lead, direct, and guide because we are helpless lost and weak. Easy enough! Can you possibly imagine a situation where we refuse to submit to, heed the advice of and totally follow the instructions of those sent to help you?

10. Just stay with me a little longer, I'm not going where you think I am!!

11. In my opinion, this awkward circumstance of the subdued forcing and subduing their helper is why the entire world is in the irredeemable chaos that we find ourselves.

You think I’m taking it too far by stating “the whole world”?

12. Well, the replica circumstance of my story is created daily here on earth where we have ensured the anomaly is enshrined in our DNA via culture!!

What do i mean?

The awkward and unnatural domination of the female specie by the male!!

13. For some inexplicable reason, we portray women as the “weaker sex” but how does it make sense that one who is weaker will be sent to help you? The males have proposed this idea through every conceivable means: folklore, culture, legality, morality, religion, etc

14. For example, we know “snitching” is probably considered the height of weakness; yet somehow, men folk will overlook Adam’s “snitch” when asked, “Have you eaten of the tree from which I commanded you shouldn’t?” It didn’t take much for Adam to promptly point the finger at Eve.

15. Is that a sign of the strength we are to have? I often ask myself, "Are men even useful on this earth? Would the world not be better off without us?"
Other than the narrative of "procreation", what other reason do we use to justify our existence?

16. (I’m whispering so read this silently): I suspect the Almighty answered that question in no unclear terms: Jesus was born of a virgin (i.e. no man was involved) & because we men, overestimate our importance in the scheme of things, it’s like God was saying “in your face men!”

17. But being a kind & balanced God, after sticking it to men, he still allowed Jesus to be male. He needed both sexes to maintain some level of balance hoping we’d all understand that neither is superior and both need to complement each other and let each fulfill their purpose.

18. Yet, men folk want to and insist on exercising control over women instead of pursing a one-ness in relationship. The attempt is made to brainwash & train women to fulfill the purpose of men instead of the purpose of God and now, we don’t allow women to discover their purpose.

19. I’m quite certain my bible-scholars will quickly direct me to Genesis 3:16 where God “ordained” the man should rule over the woman & I have no answer for that. But it has crossed my mind & the bible confirms that when God said it, he was cursing her (and possibly the man too)

20. It was/is a curse for all of mankind for the man to rule over the woman and I don’t know about you, but I certainly do not want to live under a curse especially as I’m pretty sure that God created a way out from the “curse of the law.”

21. In addition, if being ruled by the man was “punishment” for the woman, then we must ask, "what was God's original plan/design?" How were they living BEFORE the fall? What was their relationship like in the garden? Certainly can’t make sense to curse people using status quo!!

22. Lastly, for those who’d take us back to the events just prior to the fall in the Garden, let me say this: when David faced Goliath, he was their champion & the battle for “everything” was fought between the two best. Basically, winner takes all!!

23. Indeed the Holy Book alludes to the weakness of the woman in that she was first tempted, but in battle, if you want to win in one fell swoop, do you take out the foot soldiers or the commander-in-chief? Why would Satan do any different? He took out the main power target, Eve!

24. Besides, why do we insist to continue to live under a curse? Putting egos aside as men, what other reason do we have for, at the expense of the entire earth, continuously subdue the improved, glorious, well crafted, delicately sculptured, powerful version sent to help us?

25. Look at all the other similar curses &the amount of resource expended by mankind, via science & tech, to reduce or eliminate those curses: epidurals have reduced pain of childbirth, herbicides have reduced prevalence of weed, fertiliser has increased the yield of the ground!!

26. So why then have we not applied our knowledge and intellect to suppress the male ego, take a back seat and allow women to be what they are truly designed and destined to be – “HELP FROM ABOVE"?
