This year, I learnt how bad it is for your physical health to be mentally unstable.
I am not just speaking of an unhealthy lifestyle or being overweight, I am speaking of even the changes you make to fix that.
If you& #39;re trying to make a change to your lifestyle to feel mentally better, confide in a doctor about your mental illness.
For example, I learnt this year that a deficiency in Vitamins B12 and D3 can lead to depressive tendencies.
Get yourself checked & compare that with how you& #39;re feeling in general, for one. You won& #39;t believe how easily your body reacts to the mind.
This may not be news to most of you, but it was to me. It& #39;s why people suggest exercise so much as a way to stay mentally stable.
Being physically active is not going to fix depression/anxiety. But it will help you stay afloat.
You will have shitty days (and really shitty days). But, please don& #39;t give up. Take a day off if you& #39;re tired of trying.
Trying is all you have. And a lot of days will just feel like you& #39;ve been trying without results. On those days, step back & breathe.
Bookmark this gif. It will save your life.
And grab all the help you can. I swear you& #39;re not a burden. Allow yourself small victories.
Got out of bed? Great
Made it to work on time? Well done
Did something off your list? Amazing
Worked out? Proud of you
Slept 8 hrs? You star
And write. You don& #39;t have to be a writer. There are too many feelings and your mind can only take so much. Write your feelings down.
You& #39;ll fuck up, but ask yourself if 15 year old you would be okay with you and if the answer is even a tiny yes, TAKE IT.
As an incredibly young Emma Stone said, "You& #39;re bigger than your anxiety". You& #39;re bigger than all of it. I promise.
Also Mental Health Day is 365 days. 24x7. Keep up with yourself, bb. The world can wait. /End.
