From Tirupati to Mahalakshmi Kolhapur, from Siddhivinayak to Jagannath, nothing is safe from the greed of those who "manage" our temples.
This has been happening for a long while now. The control of temples by govt goes back to 1801, when Jagannath Puri fell into British hands.
