The author here does an excellent job of describing how policing changes when cops see themselves as citizens FIRST.
In the U.S. our police see themselves as a protected class of simultaneously marginalized and powerful uber-citizens.
What is your excuse for derailing a conversation about the problems of policing with irrelevant tropes?

Perhaps not. But my point is not Britain police are all great, but rather there is proof that policing can be different.
