7 Powerful Ways to Build Confidence as a Man

| Thread
1. Leave your comfort zone

Whether you go traveling, start a business, change careers or tackle a new project, it doesn’t matter. As long as you’re out of your comfort zone, you will grow.

You will NEVER change when you're comfortable.
2. Work towards your goals

One of the best ways of building confidence is by setting and accomplishing goals.

Confidence comes from your ability to perform, whether it be in any part of your life. So set small, medium, and large goals, and work on them every day.
3. Posture

Posture can make or break your confidence.

Regardless of how you feel, your posture needs to be strong. Shoulders back, chest out, and head held high.

If you want an even stronger posture, work on building out your back, shoulders, and traps.
4. Speak properly

It may sound weird but learning to speak properly isn’t always easy.

Most people will mumble, stutter or simply speak too fast when they're nervous.

This then makes them even more nervous… So practice speaking slowly and articulate yourself well.
Simple tasks such as reading and writing are the best ways to improve your speaking skills.
5. Think long term

Most people take part in short-term gratification activities, leaving them unhappy and unconfident.

Long-term thinking requires discipline and sacrifices.

When it pays off, the pride and confidence you feel will be worth it.
6. Fake it till you make it.

This is the mindset you need to have.

“fake” confidence uses the same techniques as “real” confidence and therefore will have the same results.

You do not need to be confident to speak confidently.
As long as you learn the correct step and study confident people, you can adapt to the same techniques they use.

Doing this will eventually make you feel more confident.
7. Live in the present

Learn to appreciate what you have right now, without worrying about what’s going to happen tomorrow.

It may sound corny, but free your mind, be here now and confidence will follow.
