Mass shootings/terror attacks/mass protests have to pass the Hilux Test.

What is the Hilux Test? Glad you asked.
In 2015 ISIS arrived on the scene with dozens, if not hundreds of brand new Toyota Hilux trucks. Chrome still shining. Where'd they come from? Even Toyota couldn't answer. Prices range from 30-90k. Who paid for all these brand new vehicles?
Would you expect a handful of freedom fighters to raise the funds for these trucks organically? Or were they funded by an outside benefactor?
You can apply the Hilux Test to other events. For example: Vegas. Stephen Paddock shows up with a huge case of guns and decides to shoot up a concert.

Just a normal guy blowing $1.5M. Nothing to see here, citizen who has to save for any purchase over $10k.
Patriot Front. Clearly feds. Way too clean. Like those boots have never stepped in mud or dirt. Brand new clean masks, glasses and hats. The Feds could search for mass purchases of these clothing types and find the individual members, if they intended to catch them.
And finally, the Uvalde shooting. The kid bought two Daniel Defense AR-15s. Approx $1800 apiece. Now I'm not a 17 year old Wendy's employee and don't know their pay, but I can't spend $3500 on rifles tomorrow.
He lived with his grandparents. His grandfather was a felon. Meaning he couldn't use his home address.

What are the odds that the kid gets $3500 and the background check system fails, allowing him to take these guns home?

This, and the events following, fail the Hilux Test.
