Turkey isn't exerting a stealthy operation. For years Ankara offered various solutions to end mass flow of refugees. 1st offer to enforce no fly zone in Northern Syria was rejected by EU.
Years after the rejection the former German minister of foreign affairs Mr. Sigmar Gabriel admitted that it was a mistake not to use no fly zone option to impede refugees.
Then Turkey offered to train and equip local Arab population to challenge against the Damascus's possible unwarranted action. EU kept silence, Washington accepted to support in case the framework would be in compliance with US interests.
The train&equip program started with Syrian volunteers. But there was a conflict of interests between the American intelligence and Pentagon. The American controversy revealed when the first train&equip group arrested by another fraction without firing a shot.

IS viciously massacred peasants, farmers, local tradesmen; even in this heartbreaking circumstance, the volunteers to join Pentagon's special forces plan YPG was under the estimations.
PKK a terrorist organisation for US( since 1997) came to aid. The uniforms, banners are totally changed and some local Arabs are persuaded to reinforce the YPG divisions. Most of the Arab volunteers deserted in case of YPG's compulsory language condition, obedience to PKK.

The TR-IS slander started to circulate in Western media concurrently with the soaring tension between Turkey and US( Pentagon)..Weirdly the footage was from notorious Russian propaganda sources that mainly distributed by Russian Ministry of Defence after Turks shot down a Ru jet.
