locals really talk about us like we are this angry crazy mob who is always ready to fight someone. as if you can say the worst, grab popcorn and enjoy the action.

when in reality we’re just…. tired. tired of seeing artists we love being mocked and harassed for simply existing. https://twitter.com/mmfa/status/1531807595169820672
we don’t want to be the punchbag of your memes and jokes, or the fighter against your hateful politicians. most of us aren’t even americans. the ‘get him’ moment is not coming.

we are TIRED of bts getting treated so terribly and our valid arguments being seen as entertainment.
‘get him’ ‘release the hounds’ ‘he doesnt know the force he awoke’ ‘theyre on his ass’

you’re a grown adult. he’s an utterly vile person in power.

and we… we are not a cult. we are just a bunch of people who adore the same music and artists and would like to do so in peace.
talking about us as if we’re this massive abstract crowd who attack people. as if we are not real people who experience this kind of hatred in real life frequently and in larger volumes. how our resilience born from hurt and adaptive thick skin is seen as ‘savage’. pls shut up.
so many people have talked about the emotional weight of bts’s visit and their words. how happy and seen they feel.

so maybe your first response as grown adults should be ‘hey dont be mean. this means a lot to a lot of people’ instead of saying ‘they will end him’.
bts and their fans have been dehumanised so bad that every terrible experience (and there is a whole lot of them) is just treated as a little internet drama where we are nothing but different versions of ‘wait till their fans find out’ or ‘youre making a big deal out of nothing’
grown adults.
