I looked at his face, it was cold. There was no indicator he had said any of that on a lighter note.
I shifted on my seat

He took a sip of this drink and looked at me.
‘’And if, by any form of trickery, they do - that power consumes them’’
He paused. Waiting for what he had just said to sink in. I knew he was about to tell me something super personal,

I could feel it. And from the look on his face he seemed a little embarrassed. ‘’For me’’ he finally said, after an obvious hesitation. ‘’It was the women....''
