I& #39;m about to teach you my memory method.
Even non-geniuses can do it.
(And once it helped me save a baby porpoise. The porpoise, its skin felt like sandpaper. I mistook it for a dolphin. More on the porpoise later.)

Before I teach the technique,
I& #39;m going to get you to remember 3 pieces of information.
You& #39;ll be able to recall all these things at any point today.

It& #39;s the easiest version of Robert. My mom called by Robby. When I get old they& #39;ll call me Bob. But for now, just Rob will do.

The trick is telling "micro-stories."
Use this simple technique to remember:
• The name of the attractive person you just met
• What you need to get from the store
• What page you& #39;re on in a book
• One detail about a sales prospect they& #39;ll never expect you to remember

It works because the human brain is wired for story.
Not random facts. But story.
Not random facts. But story.
Studies show that when we read stories,
our brains light up in the same regions as if things were really happening.
Activating the brain in this way is the key to memory,
because memories are formed by association.

To over-simplify,
knowledge and experiences are given priority when they have more things to connect with in your mind.
Random data without context is easily forgotten.

Anytime you want to remember something,
create a micro-story around it to root the memory:
• Make the story simple
• Use unique details that engage the senses
• Associate the memory with a physical object

As you create your memory story,
visualize and feel the details.
Repeat what you are trying to remember in your mind within the story.

What& #39;s the name?

It matches a card, doesn& #39;t it?
With 52 cards in a deck, and 365 days in a year,
that can& #39;t be easy.
Or can it?
Yes. See?
Easy.

I planted one other fact in your brain.
