Sound excessive? Yes, but honestly I need way more.

Here’s how my own customers unknowingly became my most profitable sales channel.

It’s ironic that the most profitable sales channels (4 & 5) literally no one ever talks about.

This is a quick thread on how to maximize word of mouth and affiliate marketing for your shopify brand 🚀
1. Auto sign up affiliates
The magic here is scale plus authenticity. Why shouldn’t your own customers be incentivized to tell friends about their cool purchases?

This strategy is enabled by @_socialsnowball its a shopify app I’ve had forever
This is my actual order confirmation page. As you can see, it has a personalized discount code as the first thing people see after checkout.

Some people will post a screenshot of the order confirmation page of even repost a pic from your Instagram, but it’s a very small %
The real magic comes once they get their order.

Then people don’t look weird for posting their code on social media.
People will 100% forget their discount code and not revisit the order confirmation page.
You have to remind them the day of/before delivery, when excitement is at its peak.
Use klaviyo and SMS for that.
As far as I know, I think this is only able to be done on @PostscriptIO

Ninja tactics include building out education for how affiliates can maximize their earnings & building relationships with your top affiliates.

Share affiliate success stories and make sure every customer knows about it. We even tried packing slips advertising it.
Super ninja tactics include using Carro to find customers who are micro influencers and reaching out to these customers personally to see if they‘ll share your product
Some people will post on their ig story, feed, tiktok, snap, etc. sometimes you get lucky and someone with a platform loves your product.

One time a streamer / tiktoker continuously shouted us out over like 3 months and we ended up paying him well over $500.
You can adjust %’s but we pay 10% to our customer and they give their friend 10%. So you’re guaranteed to get a 5 ROI.
If done properly this can add an extra 1-5% of revenue with no adspend.
