This is going to be a megathread on Duke Nukem Forever 2001, specifically the October build that was leaked today (May 10th, 2022). I will try and elaborate how to install it, play it, and patch it.
Select all the .rar files and extract them to a singular folder of the same name as the regular name of the .rar files by right clicking on the selected files. (This option should appear if you use Winrar.)
Upon extracting;
1. Copy the contents of Patches/MegaPatch/ into the october folder
2. Run October 26/System/DukeForever.exe
And to activate the objectives system, paste this file on the System folder (courtesy of Zombie from Duke4): https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/309184261137891328/973455145843163146/dnGame.u
If you wish to use the August build, just copy and paste its contents onto the October build's folder.
Courtesy of BFG9000 on the Duke4 Discord server, here are some instructions for helping optimize the game further, as well as change its FOV.
Also; Find CacheSizeMegs on October 26\\Players\\Duke (or whatever your profile name is)\\DukeForever.ini, and change the value to 256.
Courtesy of Zombie, a moderator for Duke4, and Telephone, a friend of mine. Here are some console commands. You can find more of them on the changelog in the Megapatch folder. Use Tab or F12 to open up the console.

Courtesy of Nadeshiko (also known as Okamimi and Youlia), here are some texture files with NSFW content removed. Place these onto the October build's Textures folder.

If you're using 7zip, this extraction method should work better. Select only the first part (aka first rar file) and then extract it as shown in the picture.
If you're using Bandizip (as I do), you use the same method as 7zip, just with different options visually, as shown here.
And for some people that were trying to use 7zip and/or Bandizip, they had to get Winrar to be able to extract it, so, if anyone has that issue, try that.
For people that come across the issue seen here, rename dbghelp.dll in the System folder to dbghelp_old.dll

(Sorry for the Spanish, it should be close to English otherwise.)
Courtesy of BFG9000 once more, this is a fix for Alt+Tabbing with Fullscreen. Thanks to @SamuraiStyleTV for bringing this to my attention.
For anyone having problems with mouse not being captured by the game (or not working at all) while the game itself functions normally, restart your PC. If this doesn't work, then click only on the game's window and do not click the splash screen. Thanks to @WolvenSoul for helping
A seemingly superior alternative to the D3D8Wrapper in the patches folder is available thanks to @Xinerki. This tutorial follows theirs. First, you get this .dll file and drop it onto the System folder, replace the old one. https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases/tag/v1.11.0 (1/?)
Now, you download this tar.gz file. These files, similarly to zip and rar files, can be extracted with winrar, 7zip and Bandizip. Any extraction method should work here. (2/?)
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v1.10.1
Upon extracting, this is what the folder within looks like. You won't need most of this. You'll only need the d3d9.dll file from either one of the two folders present there. Copy or cut them and paste them into the System folder. (3/?)
This is where it gets pretty complicated, I'll try my best. Assuming you know how to get cmd or terminal to go inside the game's folder, do this command to ensure Vsync, if you want it. This prevents speedup and limits FPS. (4/?)
And to limit the game's framerate, you can use this command as well.
set DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60
For Linux users (straight from @Xinerki as with everything else): "vblank_mode=3 [usual launch command e.g. wine DukeForever.exe]" (5/?)
This is going to be of interest to a lot of you. Courtesy of Green over at Duke4, here's a general rundown of the playable maps. To access maps that aren't connected, you can use the maps command that was listed before in the thread and use the filenames listed in the maps folder
By the way, on the alternative to D3D8Wrapper, that technically makes the game run in Vulkan. If your computer doesn't work with Vulkan, it won't work, but neither would the D3D8Wrapper patch in theory, as that should make the game run in DirectX12.
I'm sorry for interrupting the thread with something that isn't a fix, but, please don't send hate or harassment to anyone related to DNF. This includes @georgebsocial (former game director), @Freschism (lead at Slipgate and 3D Realms) and Scott Miller at @Apogee_Ent.
There's been a lot of hate sent George's way in particular as if he didn't live through that game's development. There's no reason to harass him about it.
I should also note some more; Don't assume people are equal in terms of how they deal with hardship. If you really think George could handle his situation better, an insult is not the way to do it.
I wanna cap this off by saying; Humans are inherently irrational. The mind is a really complex and nuanced palace. The more you realize that about others and not just yourself, the better. Just put yourself in someone else's shoes a bit more.
Back on maps; Some maps will require you to noclip (command for that is ghost) to get to the level transition/exit.
Courtesy of BFG9000 once again, here are a few of the pros and cons of each available wrapper, with instructions on how to install them. The DXVK one listed is one that I already had here, but here is a reupload of the one BFG refers to anyway: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZxLBow9R9aIscV6YCFWDzFcPlMBFLk1B/view?usp=sharing
Also I probably should have said this a long time ago, but quicksaves don't really work properly as of now. Sorry, I didn't know much about it until now.
While no one has said anything (not anyone that I could find anyway) about facing issues downloading the Objective patch, I'm still reuploading it just in case. You can find it here. Just drop this onto the System folder as previously mentioned. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f116L9jSFbqE8CrycbdNuRGK3M7KV3IK/view?usp=sharing
Courtesy of Ozymandias81, here is another download option to the game. This is the easiest one to get going, and it contains instructions on the description. It doesn't include the censor patch for NSFW. This will be continuously updated. https://github.com/Ozymandias81/DNF2001-LeakOzyRepo
I'm unlikely to find every Tweet if someone does reply to this, but; If anyone has issues progressing through the game, or you want to get to a specific map, ask me and I'll give you the command to skip to it.
For anyone having the problem of having a different playermodel than Duke in single-player, either type setmesh c_characters.duke into the console (F12 or Tab), or go into User.ini over at the Players/Duke folder and make sure the things shown here check out. Courtesy of Zombie.
Just reporting on one more save issue - It seems that for a lot of people, saves don't work in general, and loading a save also doesn't work. So, keep that in mind.
I'll leave this thread here. I'm less likely to help people through the game now. Here's the game's modding server, to which you can report bugs to and find fixes for yourself and get more support. Have a good time, everyone, and let's hope for 2002.
