Take 2 minutes to read this to save hours of wasted time this week:
Schedule everything

Try to do everything & you’ll end up with nothing.

- Find the tasks that get results
- Prioritize the biggest ones
- Block out everything else

A schedule makes sure you always move in the right direction.
Turn off notifications

Distractions are killing your focus:

- Twitter notifications
- News notifications
- Phone pop-ups

Turn them all off.

Your attention is precious. Protect it
Spend your time right

Not all tasks are equal.

Unimportant tasks make you feel productive, but they don’t bring you forward.

Stop “productive procrastination” and find what matters.

Do the tasks that cost 20% effort but bring 80% results.

Reward yourself

When you get something done, reward yourself:

- Have a snack
- Watch some Netflix
- Listen to your favorite music

Having something to look forward to will motivate you to focus.
Make plans

If you have 6 hours for a task, it will take you 6.

If you have 2 hours, it will take you 2.

Plan something to do after your work to create a deadline.

This forces you to focus and get the work done.
Take breaks

To perform your best, take a 15 minute break after every hour of work.

Stand up from your desk and get your circulation going.

Breaks clear your mind and allow you to work with more focus.
Create first, edit later

It doesn’t matter if you write, design, or create something else:

Don’t break your creative flow through perfectionism.

You are faster when you put your work out and fine tune it later.
Stop multitasking

Your brain can’t handle multiple tasks at the same time.

Do one thing after another.

You 10x your productivity if you focus all your attention on the task at hand.
Create processes

Having a process will eliminate wasting mental energy.

When you know what needs to be done, your work will flow easier and faster.

Taking a couple of hours to create a process will save you hundreds of hours in the long run.
