"I hate everything." the maknae was talking to himself in the bathroom.

Jimin knocked on the door.
"Jungkookie?" he gazed at the younger with a questioning look.

"My wisdom tooth is rising and it hurts like hell. I was unable to sleep last night." he explained.

"Can you practice?" asked Jimin.

"Yeah, I guess so. It's not like I am dancing with my mouth. But singing will be a problem."

"Wait." Jimin went in their dorm room and came back with a sedative pill and a cup of water.

Hours of dance practice passed and they were already drenched in sweat. The painkiller's action started fading away. When they started practicing the new song Jungkook started tearing up.
"Oh, shit, dude?" Namjoon quickly came up to him "The music moved your heart?"

"A wisdom tooth is killing me."

"Is it rotten?" asked the rapper worried.

"No. Thank god it's just erupting because I don't have insurance and I don't have the money for a removal."

"Rest for a little bit." said Hoseok and sat him on a chair.

Yoongi asked if Jungkook had eaten anything.

"No, I can't. I almost cry everytime I try to."

"How about me and Jin make you some mashed potatoes? Big brother's cooking skills are no joke." smiled Suga and gave him a little pat on the back.

"Thank you guys..." mumbled the boy feeling a bit guilty for troubling everyone.
Yoongi and Jin went to the shared kitchen, with Jin announcing how Jungkook was about to eat "the best damn mashed potatoes of all time, so smooth that it will taste like golden clouds."

Jungkook leaned on the arm of the couch and rested his head, with heavy eyelids.

He felt the couch bouncing, as someone hopped next to him, sneaking his hands around his body. He knew by the faint scent. He didn't need to open his eyes.

"Tae..." he whispered.

"Mouth open. I want to see." Taehyung ordered and turned on his phone flashlight.
The boy obeyed him. Taehyung touched carefully Jungkook's jawline and started moving the younger's head around, with his thumb pressing on and brushing over Jungkook's lower lip.

Jungkook tried to speak with his mouth open, producing a weird sound that sounded like "It hurts" and made Taehyung chuckle and pet him.
"Yeah. It's tearing your gum. How about we go to the dentist?" smiled Taehyung and took some bagel to eat out of his elegant bag.

The voguish bad didn't go with the edgy style the company had assignment them. It was Taehyung's taste.

"There's no need. It's ok." whispered the younger.

"Stay there suffering then." replied Taehyung and looked at him intimidatingly but his concern was evident.

Yoongi and Jin came in with the mashed potatoes. But it was not just a plate.
"Guys, we ended up making a lot of it..." warned the eldest. Hoseok started laughing when Yoongi brought in a whole, steamy cauldron.
Everyone initiated an attack on the undefended food.

"It's damn good!" said Taehyung while stuffing his mouth with both the potatoes and the baggel.

Jimin drew cycles on Jungkook's back supportively, because the younger had a hard time opening his mouth to chew. "Atta boy" he praised Jungkook cutely.

"Guys, shouldn't we visit a doctor?" Taehyung seeked support from the others, because Jungkookie wasn't listening.

Namjoon and Jin were ready to agree but Jungkook stubbornly insisted "I can take the pain. I am not a kid anymore. Tomorrow it will go away."

By 2 am they were done with their work. Jungkook was unable to sleep because of the terrible pain. It spread to his jaw and ear. Even swallowing down was a torture. He was laying in the dark, silently crying.

Taehyung next to him fidgeted and woke up. He turned on his phone and lighted on Jungkook's face before quickly standing up muttering:
"You stubborn bastard, get up! We are going to the hospital."
He grabbed the boy by the waist and moved him out of the dorm room.

"Dress." he commanded "I am going to ask Yoongi to drive us there."

He heard Taehyung waking up Jimin and Yoongi, who were asking what happened.

Then Yoongi running down the stairs and Taehyung whispering:
"He was crying because of the pain and said nothing."

Taehyung came again in the hallway and pulled Jungkook closer saying "We are leaving."
They went down the stairs and got inside Yoongi's car.

Taehyung was mumbling curses all their way down.

He sat in the codrivers seat and laid Jungkook in the back.

"Head up. Your blood is rushing to your head, making it to hurt worse." ordered Taehyung and the boy stood half up.

Yoongi was side eyeing him from the driver's mirror. "We are almost there Kook, don't worry." he said.

As they arrived they rushed their friend to the urgent's section.

Taehyung and Yoongi were sitting at the hallway waiting for my examination to end.

"He is going to be alright..." whispered Yoongi and seemed more like he was talking to himself.

"You know, when we started working with him, I immediately thought two things: 1. This guy is very valuable artistically and 2. This guy is extremely introverted and headstrong... I don't know how you did it, but thank god you approached him." admitted Yoongi to Tae.

They both looked at the door as Jungkookie came out of the examination room.

"I need to take antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. Let's go to a pharmacy" he expained to them.

He looked so embarrassed and defeated, like getting sick was his own fault.

They entered the car but Taehyung now sat back with the younger, for some reason.
Jungkook was nestling in his hyung's arms, like a fluffy bird.

"Why are you both at the back seats? Is this a taxi?" laughed Yoongi as he was driving to find an overnight pharmacy.

"I sat back here to take care of the baby. Teething is a difficult time for parents and kids alike." said Taehyung as the boy was leaning over him, half asleep.

"I am in pain, you sarcastic, heartless little shit." replied Jungkook quietly under his breath.

"You know what? Yes." Jungkook dared him.

Taehyung suddenly gave him a peck on the lips and Jungkook shrilled. Confused, cherry red but curious.

Yoongi saw them from the mirror and started laughing.
