1. Stop Blaming Your Parents.
My parents immigrated from Ukraine, didn’t speak a word of English and worked $4/hr jobs.
They had to GRIND to give me an opportunity in life — and I wish I understood this earlier.
Learn to be grateful for your parents’ sacrifices.

2. Pursue Your Interests.
My refuge back in high school was books and computers – I even asked my parents for money to build my first computer at 12.
Nerding out with computers led me to starting businesses, my career today.
Best case, it’ll do the same for you too.

3. Don’t Follow Other People’s Dreams
I built a web hosting business when I was 14.
“Why are people sending you money?” my parents yelled. If I would’ve listened to them, I would’ve never built JUICE.

4. Help Others Make Money.
When I worked at Staples, people gave me their broken computers. I would sell them a repair and make $7.85 an hour.
One lesson I learned about money:
If you help people make a lot of it, you’ll make a lot too.

5. Take Risks.
I quit my job at Staples and dived into online business – buying items from random websites and flipping them on eBay.
I made more money in a week than I did in a month at my old job.
Going against the norm opens up opportunities most people can’t see.

6. Get Serious.
I ran 3 startups in college. Meaning I was “playing business” – I loved the idea of running a business more than actually running the business.
Until realizing that must change if I wanted to be successful.
Ignore vanity, and double down on the useful product.

7. Speed Is King.
After enrolling in Draper University and pitching my startup idea – We spent a month building with little money.
In 4 weeks, we had 1000s of customers and raised $500k from 2 billionaires.
The top 1% of entrepreneurs take an idea and execute on it ASAP.

8. Learn From The Greats.
Understanding:
• Human psychology
• How to capture attention
• Cognitive biases (like scarcity)
Is the main reason my agency flew past 8 figures fast.
There’s a lot of misinformation around, so learn from marketing greats like Ogilvy and Hopkins.

9. Keep Reading.
When I was 17, I loved “Think and Grow Rich”. Although it’s cliche now, the book changed my life.
Realizing you can choose:
• To be fat or in shape,
• An employee or a business owner.
Puts you in control of the actions you take – and directions you head.

10. Positivity Wins
Before starting JUICE, I got fired from a job…
Although I thought it was my lowest point – in hindsight, it was my best.
I jumped back into entrepreneurship, met lifelong friends and saw much greater success.
If you hit rock bottom, the only way is up.
