‼️ THREAD ‼️
✔️ The goal of this thread is not to brag but to inspire. Like @AlexHormozi says, I have nothing to sell you. This will be a mix of successes and failures I’ve had to reach a financial goal most could only dream of. Read all the way through and you may catch a golden nugget.
😐 Growing up I had it rough however this is not a pity party so I'm going to skip to high school time. This is when I first knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. All my friends were going the traditional route and I knew I'd rather die than sit in a cubicle at some shitty job.
💻 At 14 I wanted to be a YouTuber so I saved up all my money and built a gaming PC. Once I had it I realized I had no more money and that's when my first google search for "How to make money online" happened. I tried a lot of stuff without any success. Until one day...
🐐 I saw an ad by @ZssBecker for a company called SourceWave. If you're an OG you'll remember that this was his SEO company. I credit my entire mindset shift to Alex because after watching his videos, I now knew an actual way of how to make a million dollars.
📈 He taught how to do "Rake & Rent Sites" which is basically creating a niche business website and rent out the pages to local businesses. Although I wasn't successful with SEO it gave me the vision for ecom and played a pivotal role in my future.
😤 Fast forward to the age of 18. I was a really bad kid. Getting into fights, selling drugs, etc. I gave up an athletic scholarship to Notre Dame for swim and my mom had enough of me and kicked me out of the house. I knew at this point it was time to get on the grind.
🙏 At first I got into Amazon FBA and quickly realized it's a pretty unscalable business model. THEN I was introduced to this beautiful platform called Shopify. Back in 2017 there was such shitty courses and youtube videos from fake gurus so I had to figure it all out myself.
🤦‍♂️ Back then I didn't even know that you could rebrand a store if it didn't work so I would literally shut down a store and re-open a new one every single time. Just goes to show how lucky you are to have all this free info today. But it wasn't easy starting out.
😨 It took me 6 stores before I finally saw some decent "success". I was selling bracelets on meme pages at the time and I remember hitting a profitable $250 day and thinking HOLY SHIT. Little did I know, my life was about to completely change in 3 months.
🤑 In March of 2018, I had two big winners hit at the exact same time. Looking back, I should have just focused on one of them but oh well. At the time I really didn't know how to scale and I was just doing absolute nonsense on my ad accounts. BUT it was working.
🛠 Those winners lasted for about 3 months and then died and I was left in the same trap every of dropshipper which is inconsistent income. It was at this point I started to realize that I needed more than 1 store running so I built 3. It took another 6 weeks to find a winner.
🤝 2018 was life changing because it showed me that I can do it. Then in 2019, my best friend Omar had his first big month and suggested we partner together on a store. He knows better than anyone that I don't trust people at all however I've known him for a decade so I said yes.
🚀 I realized quickly that doing things 50/50 with a business partner is the way to go. Especially when you compliment each others strengths. I'm more the person to get the ball rolling and just get stuff up and Omar is the type to obsess over small details and make it perfect.
💰 I'm going to take a quick break from talking about ecom and talk about crypto and stocks which definitely helped hit my financial target. For this there are two people that helped out a lot from following their calls and it's @MrZackMorris and @cymovements.
🤠 I've profited from a few of @cymovements calls but the one I got the biggest return on is GRT which I did almost 20x. And @MrZackMorris made me a lot of bread from his calls during the $GME $AMC $SNDL days. I am very grateful to both of these guys for sharing their knowledge.
😇 Now back to Ecom...as you know last year is when Omar and I started the Subscription revolution and put it on the map. In hindsight, I probably should have kept more quiet about it but as @iamshackelford says, I believe there is enough for all of us to eat.
🥂 Subscription based ecom has been a huge blessing and our plan is to build out a massive network of stores all with subscriptions and then when the time is right sell all of the stores to a private buyer and then sit on a beach with some baddies drinking margaritas all day.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 After our ecom exit, I plan on investing most of the money into real estate and being a VC. At this point I am going to travel the world and eventually start a family. I didn't have a close knit family growing up so I want to create one and set the tone for future generations.
👨‍🏫 Here are my biggest lessons so far in life:
- don't let your ego control you
- drugs are a waste of time
- live everyday like it's your last
- you need to spend money to make money
- keep momentum going by any means necessary
- family is more important than anything
😎 Here are my biggest tips:
- don't waste your time on women (I'm still learning this one)
- when you see an opportunity GO FOR IT
- change your environment to boss up
- don't take advice from ordinary people
- workout every single day
- don't lose your seed phrases
🏁 If you made it to this point then you're amazing. Hopefully you can see I am no different than you. I wish for all of you to be successful in life. I don't sell a course and I put out valuable tweets for free so one day we can all laugh together on a yacht. The world is yours.
