It's not about how MUCH you work

It's about how WELL you work

Use these 6 productivity strategies to Seize the Day

/ THREAD /
1. PLAN YOUR DAY

If you dont schedule your day, you will be pulled in all directions

There are many planners - I use Brendon Burchard's High Performance planner (you can find it on Amazon)

It breaks the day into 30 min segments

Small chunks of time but allows some wiggle room
2. FIGURE OUT YOUR BEST TIME OF THE DAY

If you're a morning person, make sure you block out the morning hours

This is the time to attack your most complex tasks

When your tired later in the day, work on the simpler items
Personally I'm better at night, so I used to stay up late after work to build my ecommerce businesses
3. KEEP A JOURNAL OR NOTE COLLECTION

Log your thoughts, ideas, discussions, tasks, plans, reminders, etc.

Organization is essential and a journal will keep you focused on the important tasks all day
Sam Walton (The founder of Walmart and at the time the richest man in America) ALWAYS kept a small pad of paper with him

He'd check out competitors stores and write down notes about how he could improve Walmart
4. HAVE A PERFORMANCE PARTNER

Once a week, get on a call with another highly motivated, productive person.

Talk about your wins, losses, projects etc.

Interacting with others that motivate you is a great habit to get into

and also is a relaxing break from your work schedule
I met with my mentor weekly for almost 2 years

It help me learn a ton and also kept me motivated
5. REFLECT, RETHINK, and RENEW

At the end of each day or week, take some time look back at how your day or week went.

Note what time was spent well, what was accomplished, and where time was lost.

This way you can continually be improving and optimizing
With the end of the year here, it's the perfect time to analyze your past year

What went well?
What could be improved?
What do you want to double down on?
What is worth spending the most time on this week?
6. REMEMBER YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL AND YOUR WHY

When motivation is lacking or you're feeling exhausted, remember why you work as hard as you do.

Your family, your future, your reputation, giving back...

Whatever it is that is driving you, remember that it is all worth it
