9 steps to get more done on Sunday than most do all week:
1. Reflect on the past week

When we fail to reflect on the past, we fail to learn and let things fall through the cracks.

What went well? What didn’t go well?

Where there any meetings or tasks that need to be followed up on this week?
2. Set aside time for self-care

Each Sunday, you should prioritize some downtime to recharge for the week.

Take a nap, go on a walk, read a book.

3. Review your calendar for the upcoming week

You want to understand:
• the flow of the week
• any deliverables due
• how you’ll balance family and work
• when you’re going to actually get work done

The goal is to get in front of foreseeable issues.
4. Plan your food for the week

This allows you to:
• optimize your health choices
• plan your trips to the grocery store
• meal prep to lighten the load during the week
5. Identify your most important task each day

Busyness often crowds out what actually needs to get done.

Pick one thing daily that is connected to a long-term goal and block your highest energy time to work on it.

Schedule a meeting with yourself to protect this time!
6. Brain dump

Mentally go through your projects and life domains to determine if there are any unrecorded tasks.

• Meetings to schedule
• Research to do
• Errands to run
• Calls to make
• Bills to pay
• Community
• Personal
• Family
7. Organize the rest of your to-dos

Group your to-dos based on urgency and importance (Eisenhower matrix)

Schedule those with deadlines.

After you’ve done your most important task for the day, work through these by deadline and importance.
8. Pick one habit to work on

What have you struggled with recently or just want to improve?

Focus on one thing to nail this week.

It’s the first step to the rest of your life.
9. Schedule something to look forward to

We often focus on what must get done instead of what we want to do.

Plan something that excites you so you have something to look forward to.

A hobby, an outing with friends, or a new dinner spot.
These 9 simple, and quick steps, set you up for success each week.

Going into the week with a plan helps you get off to a quick start and recenter when you get off track.

Try it this week and let me know how it goes.
