(2) First of all, products are everything! Four years ago I would
agree on this, your store can look like shit, if the customers want to have the product they don’t care, it changed a little bit through the years, but basically it is always true.

(3) What you have to realise in Europe, your "English is everything" logic doesn’t work! If it would work you could push a worldwide store without any limit!
(4) We always have unique stores per country (language), we translate everything to the native language, the whole shop, all products plus descriptions, checkout of course, we use the countries currency in the shop, we even do the CS in the language!
(5) We are using http://deepl.com all the way and always for all product translations and for the general theme translation, take a native fiverr guy and make it perfect once for small costs. For the products we do fiverr only.
Don’t tell me you tried if you don’t do this
Don’t tell me you tried if you don’t do this
(6) The most important things you should focus are: 1. your store shouldn’t look like DS, 2. page load and for me the absolute essence NO interruption before THE FIRST SALE OF THE CUSTOMER!
(7) As we are doing only fashion and shoes we try to keep the stores „category general“, what I mean by that, it is a store for men and women, for all kind of shoes and fashion, but you see that the stores are focused on that category!
(8) I can recommend the SHOPIFY themes „impulse“ and „sense“, we use them for nearly all of our stores. Make them look great but simple! Use columns to show what your brand stands for, create an about us page.
(9) Use pre integrated elements that are integrated into all product pages like „refund policy“, „shipping“, „size table“, 6 points why the customer should order in your store etc.
(10) Pro tip: use another background color than white and change the background for each and every product at canva to the color! Do everything to not be seen as shitty DS in the first second.
(11) For the user experience! Keep it simple man and check your own behaviour, if I go to a shop and a newsletter pop up comes up, it’s over bro, DO NOT interrupt the user experience BEFORE the first sale! Product Page one click, cart one click, that’s it. Always do free shipping
(12) Second pro tip: do never set „skip the cart“ automatically, Europeans don’t like that! CR killer.
(13) Don’t do any apps that pop up before they placed an order or left the store without paying! After that! Interrupt them as often as possible; email Retargeting (up to 5 emails for aba. cart/ checkout), sms bump (also up to 5 times), ads Retargeting of course!
(14) Third pro tip: always use country related domains and logos! For example in Sweden, don’t call your shop „fashion world“ instead go for the Swedish translation „Modevärlden“, even better do a combination: stockholm-modevaerlden. Com or smth.
