9 Tips To Improve Your Problem Solving Skills.

1. Focus on the solution.

- Focusing on the problem induces negativity.

- Develop a solution-oriented mindset, think what the 'answer' could be, rather than lingering on 'what went wrong' and 'who's fault it is'.
2. Define the problem clearly.

- Ask 5 Whys to define the problem clearly.

- Repeatedly ask the questions.

- It gives you the correct root cause.

- Figuring out the correct root cause is the first step to have the best solution.
3. Look at the bird's eye only.

- Simplify your problem.

- Eliminate the unnecessary details.

- At times, we might overlook the simple solutions and search for complex answers.
4. List out the possible solutions.

- Come up with all the possible solutions, which might be silly at first.

- But, at times the silly solutions trigger some great ideas.

- And remember, "No idea is a bad idea'.
5. Change approach.

- If you think you are not getting anywhere with a specific approach, try a different approach and come back to the original one.

- It might work !

- Your thoughts might get stagnant thinking the same way.
6. Work out your brain with logic puzzles.

- Play chess/rubik's cube, sudoku

- All these help you to think the problem from multiple directions

- And you will be able to apply the same strategy when you come across a problem in real life.
7. Keep an eye on the surrounding.

- Keep a eye on your surroundings all the time.

- Think, question - is there a better way to do this? Be it very menial tasks.

- Initially it might be like an additional work to your brain, eventually it comes naturally to you.
8. Keep an idea journal.

- Keep thinking about the problem in your brain.

- Write down your random ideas.

- Record Important thoughts, make sketches. Work out problems.
9. Sing and dance your heart out.

- Dance has a positive impact on neural processing.

- Music has a very calming effect on you.

- They help you in living in the current moment and gives you extra energy to think clearly.
