I Became A Millionaire at 20 Years Old

Here& #39;s how I would do it again

Full transparency - I don& #39;t have $1M+ in liquid cash, this is the net worth I could get if I sold everything I own in the next 6 months

Anyways, here are my lessons https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rug van hand met omlaag wijzende wijsvinger" aria-label="Emoji: Rug van hand met omlaag wijzende wijsvinger">
1. Find Great People & Work Together

I met my business partner @AnsonJacobR around 2 years ago

He replied to my Instagram story when I was looking for sales reps for another project I had
We started to work together and immediately I could see he has the drive one else does

So a couple of months later I offer him to partner up and start a marketing agency
Fast forward to today, we have a team of 60+ people, managing 87+ clients and

I truly have to say that if we hadn& #39;t met each other, we would have still became millionaires, but it would have taken us so much longer
We both have different skill sets, we both have different ways to think, BUT we both have the same goal and we& #39;re smart enough to use our differences as a strength not a weakness
I focus on sales and I generate ideas

He focuses on operations, sustainability

Alone we& #39;re strong, together we& #39;re unstoppable
2. Focus On Just 1 Business

There& #39;s not much to it... Just pick 1 thing you want to do, stick to it for 3-5 years and make it work

It& #39;s simple but not easy

You may hear others talk about their businesses, they share the successes and the wins but never the hardships
You only want to switch because all you have to deal with are issues in your industry and all you hear are successes from others

You don& #39;t see the issues and the problems they deal with... We all have problems, they just aren& #39;t being shared
No matter how big your business is, there will always be bigger fish

They& #39;re bigger because they know something you don& #39;t:
- Team Structure
- Marketing Tactics
- Tax Strategies
Etc.

Don& #39;t look at your neighbor& #39;s garden, make yours bigger
3. Realize Bad Things Are Good

Every challenge, every hardship, every failure that happens is a good thing

Use your failures to learn about what went wrong
If you& #39;re new to the journey this is very hard as most things you try won& #39;t work

However stay analytical because if you& #39;re not where you want to be at, you& #39;re not good enough (yet)
4. Break Things To Move Forward

What took you from 0 to $10k, won& #39;t take you to $30k

What took you to $30k, won& #39;t take you to $100k

That took you from $100k to $1M, won& #39;t take you to $10,000,000
To get to the next level you need to do things differently and even think differently

If you& #39;re stuck, you may need to rip everything apart and rebuild for a larger scale
5. Use Mental Models

This sounds silly, but school never really taught me to think

Mental models are your friends here

These are different frameworks you can use to deconstruct problems and how look at the problems
I& #39;ve made bad decisions because I haven& #39;t thought about them long enough and I& #39;ve avoided bad decisions because of the mental frameworks I& #39;ve used

Had I learned about them earlier, I would have made fewer mistakes and I would have saved so much more time
6. If You& #39;re Not Where You Want To Be... You Suck

If you want to make a Million, but haven& #39;t - you simply suck...

If you get offended by this, then you suck even more...

It& #39;s true, you just don& #39;t have the right skills and the network to get there
That& #39;s why your goal is to learn, become smarter, and not suck

I admit... I suck too, but I understand that, know why I suck and what I need to improve

Slowly I& #39;ll get better and reach my next goals
