The eCommerce copywriting secret that made me $15M in sales

thread đŸ§”
The stuff that I'm about to give you for FREE in this thread can potentially make you up to 6 figures this year...

All I ask from you is to retweet the tweet above Up pointing backhand index

Let's Go!
At the beginning of your eCommerce journey as a brand owner, you have a lot of roles to fill.

You’re basically a one-man band doing everything

Website design
Content
Social ads
Copywriting
Email marketing
Influencers
Inventory management
Customer service
Etc

Each are skills you must become proficient in order to do this whole "eCom" thing successfully.

Anyways, I strongly believe one of the most important of these skills is copywriting.

(The one I love most...because, well I do email marketing for eCom brands 😉)
A lot depends on it (your copywriting skills)

Your product descriptions.

Your ad copies.

Your emails

Even your ad creatives
This is why hands down, I think learning copywriting was one of the best things I've ever done.

It's allowed me to write killer emails that have generated a lot of moolah for me and my clients.
And it will help you write killer ads, make high-converting product pages, and a lot of other fun and profitable stuff too.
And here's my number one copywriting secret:

MARKET RESEARCH
It’s funny that my #1 copywriting secret isn’t exactly related to writing...

I know it doesn’t sound cool or fancy, I don't care

Market research is the first step to writing copy that sells
‘cause if you don't know your market, you can't effectively sell to them. There is just no way around it.
In fact, 80% of your time should be spent doing research, while a measly 20% should be spent actually writing.
But, how do you do that? (market research)

Figuring out the following questions:

WHO these people in your market are

WHAT they've bought/are buying

WHERE you can reach them (where they hang out online)

WHY they buy the things that they do

HOW they talk
Where do you find the answers to those Qs?

In places like Reddit, Facebook groups, Amazon reviews, IG comments, Tik Tok trends, directly talking to your marker 1-on-1, etc.
There are certainly other ways to do market research, but just putting these few ways to work will put you miles ahead of the competition.
Very few people are actually taking the time to do the research.

The few that do?

They're the best copywriters in the world.

Do not take this lightly.

Doing your research and knowing your market is the most important part of writing copy.

Without it, you have nothing.
And well, these are my two cents for today
