5 Life lessons you& #39;ll learn from the weight room

Looking and feeling good is awesome, don& #39;t get me wrong.

But the reason we keep coming back to the gym is because of the intangible gains.

The weight room is like one giant metaphor for life.

Let& #39;s dig in.
1) Consistency is key

Just like you won& #39;t make progress in the gym if you don& #39;t show up week after week, year after year.

You won& #39;t achieve much in life without being consistent.

Small steps made consistently will lead to massive results.
2) Failure is your friend

Any person who has lifted weights at the highest level has failed lifts.

Just like some of the most successful business people have failed at multiple endeavors before making it.

Failure gives you an opportunity to learn and come back stronger.
3) Strategy matters

If you go to the gym every once in a while without a plan, you might get lucky and see some results.

If you really want to see results, you need a plan and you need to execute.

Research and create a good plan and then violently execute for maximum results.
4) Focus on the long game

Everyone sees the jacked guy lifting huge numbers or the CEO who is living a life of luxury.

What they don& #39;t see is that same guy weighed 140 lbs when he started or the CEO worked out of a garage for 10 years.

Greatness takes time.

And a lot of work.
5) Motivation alone isn& #39;t enough

Motivation might get you to sign up for a gym membership.

It won& #39;t get you there at 5 AM.

Discipline will.

When you know your why, self-discipline becomes much easier, in the gym and in life.
