It’s essential that we unplug and recharge.

14 ways you can recharge this Sunday:
1. Turn electronics off

Our phones, computers, Netflix, and video games put us into a trance.

We need to periodically detox from these items to reconnect with the life right in front of us.
2. Sleep in

We need 7-9 hours of sleep a night and most of us aren’t getting it.

Get to bed early and ditch the alarm.
3. A slow morning

Instead of getting right out of bed, grab a book, cuddle with your spouse, or do breakfast in bed.

A slow morning is refreshing to the soul.
4. Get in some light exercise

Getting your blood pumping will improve your mood and give you more energy.

Go on a walk. Play a sport. Get in a workout.

Do. Something.
5. Do something out of the norm

Do the opposite type of work you normally do to recharge.

If you do physical labor, do something that exercises your brain.

If you do knowledge work, get physical.
6. Go to church or join a community

There is something recharging about getting your soul fed.

Find a place to plug in and strengthen your soul.
7. Date your spouse

The weeks are busy, so set aside time to date your spouse.

Do something different and fun that you will remember.
8. Enjoy a meal with family and/or friends

Do an early meal and game night with family and/or friends.

With people’s schedules being more open, create an environment for slow socialization that leads to deeper connection.
9. Do some light cleaning

Your house is dirty. Put on some music and do some light picking up.

It can be refreshing to dance around the house and have a fresh home to start the week.
10. Get creative

Sunday’s are a great day to pick up painting, woodworking, knitting, or some other creative habit.
11. Read a book

There is nothing like reading on Sunday afternoon.
12. Take a nap

Nothing like reading yourself into a nap.

You need to recharge, and a short afternoon nap is a great way to do that.
13. Get outside

Go on a hike. Garden. Swim.

Time outdoors improves your mood and focus.
14. Journal

Reflection can be clarifying and recharging.

It’s a great way to reflect on the past week and process the thoughts you need to process.
