If I was starting a marketing agency in 2022 from scratch

Here's how I would run it to $50,000 a month before the year ends
This is a new series on my account.

I will be talking about multiple business models and breaking down my step by step roadmap
A/ Buckets

A marketing agency can be boiled down to about 25 systems that you do to make it successful

We can bucket these 25 systems into 6 main buckets for simpler organization

Each of the buckets need to be done in systematic order
Here are the buckets

1. Business Foundations
2. Prospecting
3. Close
4. Onboarding
5. Getting Client Results
6. Reporting, Retention, Referrals

Let's go over each bucket now
B/ Business Foundations

In each bucket, we have sub-tasks that we need to do

- Manage expectations: Commitment to completing the journey. It will take months to master the skill & get clients but this is fine. We have the intention to take it to the finish line
- Define a niche & skill: Email marketing, social media management, tiktok growth, paid ads management, community creation and management

I decide on email marketing for SaaS clients
- Work on mastering the skill: Understand what it takes to bring results to clients.

It consists of campaigns, flows, lead gen, and understanding the nitty gritty of klaviyo

I can learn every single detail of every single skill in http://theutopia.io
- Define offer & positioning

Offer: Email marketing for SaaS based on performance

Positioning: You are bleeding extra revenue with your brand. Email marketing is extra revenue with 0 extra ad spend. We are the only SaaS email agency

- Create all assets: Website to book calls
C/ Prospecting

2 routes I would start with (assuming I don't have this account)

1. Begin twitter again - Open a Twitter account, create a list of the top accounts I want to engage with, post witty comments under their tweets

Find accounts in my follower range,
Begin DMing them and understand that growing with them will make us the next wave of "large accounts" during the year

Take convos to telegram and start shouting eachother out

Post 2-3 threads every single week with value & case studies

Stay consistent

Promote offer 4X/week
2. Cold emails

Join http://theutopia.io  and use our Cold email marketing course and pick up Cold Email Wizards Course inside for a massive discount

Follow those steps entirely and cold email a dozen people a day
Continuously follow the prospecting strategy, lead them all to our website to book calls

Aggressively follow up with potential leads.

Understand that outreach is a numbers game. 50 outreaches will not change your life. Thousands are needed
D/ Closing

Understanding the mindset of what it takes to be a closer. You cannot be desperate for the sale. Your sole objective is to provide value on the call, disarm their defensive mechanisms and let them see how you can improve their business
On sales calls, the one who is asking the questions is in charge.

So ask questions about the following

"What is your goal with your brand"
"What is holding you back from reaching your goal"

The second question lets them tell you their problem, you solve it with your service
E/ Onboarding

My objective is to get all the accesses and information I need from the client to get great results all while managing their expectations and letting them know the action plan

Send an email asking for email access, invite them to slack & ask for a call
I hop in a call with them. Ask them question about their brand and for any branding guidelines to help with the work

Also, ask for any asset visuals they have that we can use.

Then I lay out the roadmap to them of the lowest hanging fruits and begin the work
F/ Bringing client results

I follow the roadmap I created and presented to them by acting on the lowest hanging fruits.

I create a content calendar for campaigns and begin creating B variations to test for the actual flows

I learned all of this in the Marketers Utopia
I want to systemize this entire process to make sure I am efficient and don't have any delays + my results stay clean

Remember we want to move fast but never compromise on quality

So I create systems. Read this https://twitter.com/wizofecom/status/1458143991447363590
G/ Reporting, Referrals

I lost a client because we didn't show proper reporting on a monthly basis

Define all your key performance indicators, and post them on a spreadsheet to see the before and after results

Present them to the client on a call with the following structure
Tell them about the month and the initial goal,

Talk about the barriers that you faced and how you overcame them,

Talk to them about the next steps for the next month

and ask them at the end of the call (if they are happy), to refer another friend of theirs to your agency
H/ Scaling

The entire scaling process is focused on a few areas

1. Prospecting - now that I have some extra cash from the client I currently have, I can hire a cold email agency to outreach for me aka more leads
2. Systemziation - in the meantime I will systemize all parts
of my agency. Each bucket

3. Hiring - I look at each of my systems, define the roles that are involved for each system and hire people accordingly
4. Consistency - keep following the plan
I/ No More Strategy, Time to Execute

Now that the entire roadmap is laid out for you, you have to go to each bucket and learn as much as possible
