Over the past few years I’ve been sculpting a document that is my 10,000ft view to program for our basketball teams.
I call it my YTP+, and it's something I still edit almost every time I open it.
Below is my process and why these pieces are important to me:

Below is my process and why these pieces are important to me:
First is the YTP itself. This is the piece that has probably changed the most over time.
I used to have numbers and colours for every detail, but I found this wasn't used and made it confusing when communicating it to our sport coaches. Language matters.

To make up for the seemingly lack of detail in the YTP, I created a Phase Overview.
This is the single most helpful document of the YTP+.
A detailed look at each phase: logistics, testing, & details on what I think is appropriate for Speed/Agility, Power, Strength, & Systems.

Next is the tiering model. This is also a piece that changes over time, as we collect more data on our athletes.
Most importantly are having standards and graduation criteria to help bucket our athletes training.

Our team testing standards are based purely on the data we've collected on our athletes using the equipment we have.
Another piece that changes yearly as more data is collected.
This is a good way to view athletes scaled based on different tests & qualities

Lastly, everything is built off of the backbone of our needs analysis.
Slowly, this is becoming based less on research from Europe or NCAA basketball, and more on the data our athletes have given us.

This was a few years on chipping away and by no means is it a completed document, but it's something that allows me to look at the big picture each phase.
A big thanks to @DSMStrength for teaching me the basics of how to make a document your own.
