1/ # 1.3 Your alt is not bitcoin

Usually at this stage in the rant someone will bring up Bitcoin, citing its institutional adoption and so forth. This is the second big misunderstanding that new people have in regards to crypto.
2/ They see how big bitcoin is getting and they then think that somehow means "crypto" will be big. Bitcoin has nothing to do with the ponzi scam that I am talking about.
3/ I am talking about utility tokens, that have some tokenomics/utility within a software system with a speculative price based on the dreamcase success for the demand for that software and token.
4/ Bitcoin has survived 13 years of countless attacks by everyone and everything including the most powerful forces on the planet. It's earned it place as a recognised "store of value" through surviving all that by demonstrating its resilience.
5/ Don't compare your crappy utility demand driven alt token to it that is created by a few guys in a company that would probably die with some simple regs.

Bitcoin and currencies that aren't "utility tokenomics driven" will go on and grow.
6/ Some utility tokens will go on having a niche usage such as for decentralised governance. NFT technology will be huge in gaming and the "metaverse", trading digital items.
7/ What will end is the the speculative "alt utility token game" that we play now and the volatility and big gains that come with it. Some will say "but you dont mean projects like $xyz $abc right?
8/ They are solid 'good projects' with long term utility and value?" Everyone thinks their holds are the exception. The difference between the "solid" projects and the "non-solid" is just a better more believable BS narrative.
9/ That you think its the exception demonstrates the success of that believable narrative.

Its all just marketing or speculative BS. Some deluded fools reply with "oh but $ABC is going to do blah!". You don't know.
10/ All you have is a brochure of claims and promises and some speculative prices.
