It’s time to smash some dreams about the supposed panacea that is “Nuclear Energy”. (THREAD)

Nuclear power is touted as the solution to all of the coming resource problems. All the fluff about “electric cars” and keeping your current standard of living is marketing. They are trying to sell you the neutered American dream (something that is never coming back)

Fission, by itself, is not capable of powering our existing grid infrastructure. Much less replacing the decentralized “power plants” that exist in cars.
There is simply not enough nuclear fuel to accomplish this.

Fusion is one proposed solution, but there is no sign that this technology is coming. It has been “10 years away” for half a century.

So, then, what does nuclear power offer? It offers a “life support” for the coming VR metaverse hellworld.

Electric cars are a poor replacement for the internal combustion engine. “With a car you can go anywhere you want” only applies when your car is powered by a freely traded commodity, that gets turned into energy as needed.

Electric cars put you at the mercy of the monopoly that is the electric grid. Your movement is restricted by the power that is made available to you, and could be taken away from you.

This is the Swiss Suicide Booth path of decline that our elite seems to be taking at the moment, rather than just letting nature take its course, and letting us run into the “mouse colony next to a wrecked grain truck” scenario when we run out of easily extractable resources.

They would rather just make everyone fat, happy, distracted, and childless. Slowly dying of health problems in a dopamine haze. This is what nuclear power enables. It’s a temporary “get out of jail free” card that puts our civilization on life support while it gets pilfered.

So what’s the alternative?
Total catabolic collapse.
We use up all available, easily extracted resources in the short term, and the mad scrabble for survival begins.

Ask yourself if you want to want the morphine drip. The hyperreal surrogate reality that will carry from cradle to grave in a dreamlike haze, or if you want to LIVE, even if it’s a short and brutal life.
Make no mistake, you are dying either way.
