uh my first #bkdk fic? college class au, fluff?
Where Izuku is a comms student and on the first day of class, he had to present his favorite movie (which is a subject requirement for all students in this class), and so, he picked one of his classic favorite All Might movie.

Izuku was a bit nervous to go up the small stage before setting up his presentation slides on the class computer. I mean, who even likes presenting in front of people, I sure as hell don’t > <

But then, he reminded himself that he’s gonna talk about his favorite superhero, All Might. One of the things that he has loved since he was 4 years old. Thinking about things that gives him warmth and comfort in his heart always calms him down..

eventho his hands and legs were trembling a bit but he just shook it off.

He finishes setting up his slides on ‘presentation mode’ and getting ready to face the crowd.

He looks up to the class who were waiting on him to speak and accidentally made eye contact with one of the students who sat far back at the class.

The student has spiky blond hair with sharp crimson eyes that bore into his soul. He wears an oversized black hoodie with a white skull design, and sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He was playing with his pen, swirling around between his fingertips back and forth, back and forth.

He sat in between a guy with a black mullet hair who were currently scribbling something on his notebook, and a huge beefy looking dude with the most red hair Izuku’s ever seen, also staring up ahead at him waiting for him to speak.

Izuku quickly turned away and he starts to feel his cheeks getting warmer. His biggest crush, Katsuki Bakugou is in the same class as he is. That 6ft Adonis-like figure, the smartest dude in his department is HERE.

He’s got chills running up his spine. ‘What the hell, I didn’t know the Katsuki were in the same comms class as I am, what the fuck is happening??? Oh shit he’s gonna see me go all nerdy and shit in front of everyo-’

“Midoriya? Is everything alright? Do you need some help with your slides?” The professor stopped his trail of thoughts and Izuku stood up straight again.

“Oh no no, sir, I’m alright. I’m ready to go,” Izuku smiled. He then took a deep breath before he greeted the whole class and introduced himself.

“Uh, hey guys. I’m Midoriya Izuku, and I’m here to present my favorite movie. Hope you guys enjoyed a little snippet of it here before I get started,” He chuckled nervously before pressing play.

The thing is when you start talking in front of people, you sort of get used to the attention they gave you. Being nervous is a normal thing, so Izuku tried to find a focal point in the crowd and focus on only that. And imagine himself talking to that focal point.

Once he gets comfortable, he began to move his eye contact around. He can’t really contain his excitement, so he gushes about it with a sparkle in his emerald eyes. He talks about how All Might inspires him to always does his best in life no matter how hard life can get you.

And he talks about a tiny bit of his past in order to relate it back to his favorite movie.

When his presentation comes to an end, the whole class applauds. Izuku smiles sheepishly and mumbled a soft ‘thank you’.

“Fantastic, Midoriya! Well done, I really like how you put a really great effort and being so passionate about your interests,” The professor beamed at him, looking real proud.

“How your body language is open and you feel comfortable when you speak in front of the public is really impressive. Not to mention the sweet, short and simple slide you have going on there.” He points to Izuku’s slide presentation that shows a huge “THANK YOU :)” on the screen.

“You can also elaborate perfectly on the needed points without writing too much info on your slides. Students tend to make these mistakes while doing their presentations and which can make it seem like you’re reading the slides instead of presenting it.

All in all, wonderful job, Midoriya!” The professor nodded before turning over to face his students.

“Now, does anyone have any thoughts for Midoriya’s presentation? Feel free to speak out,” He smiles.

Izuku slowly faced the class again, nervously glancing around while avoiding a certain blond’s eyes.

Someone with yellow hair & a black streak on the left portion of his hair casually raises his hand.

“Ah yes, I believe it’s Denki?” The professor raised his eyebrow.
The person named Denki nodded before the professor gestured him to ask Izuku.

Denki turned to look at Izuku, and Izuku immediately felt that familiar feeling at the pit of his stomach.
‘There’s nothing to be nervous about, ugh snap out of it, Izuku!’ He clears his throat and smiles nervously at Denki.

“Cool slides, Midoriya.” He thumbs up at Izuku before he continues.
“Like the way you relate your personal life story with the movie, it’s pretty sick.” Denki then glances at his friend next to him.

“Oh and my friend over here-”

*he grabs a purple haired guy by the collar of his grey hoodie, the purple haired guy looked unamused and was avoiding Midoriya’s eye contact*

“-wanted to say that you have a nice smile,” Denki beams at Izuku before letting his friend go.

Izuku immediately blushed at the sudden compliment and looked toward the guy with the grey hoodie. He looked away with a hand behind his neck, exposing his pink ears when Denki suddenly mentioned that to Izuku.

“God dammit Denki, why the hell would you do that,” he muttered to Denki. Denki snorted and nudged him while smiling sheepishly back at Izuku.

Izuku chuckles awkwardly and gives him a thumbs up, “Oh-uh, thanks?!”
A thumbs up? Wtf is that?

Izuku quickly put his hands down by his side, flustered.

What he didn’t expect was that the next person was patiently waiting for a moment to grab Izuku’s attention.

“I have a feedback,” A deep, rough voice suddenly boomed from the back of the class.

All eyes on the blond.

“Sure go ahead, Bakugou,” The professor nodded at him.

Izuku’s eyes widened, he didn’t expect Katsuki to take interest in his presentation. He waits in anticipation of what the blond might say. Does he like it? Is it too boring? Am I nerding about it too much?

“Nice presentation. It’s simple and easy to understand, especially the scenes you chose and added some of the psychological facts in there. It’s..interesting.” Katsuki explained thoroughly to Izuku who just stood there..frozen at the fact that Katsuki is complimenting him?

The professor nodded and was about to speak before Katsuki interrupted him.

“Oh and one more thing,” Katsuki maintains his eye contact with Izuku.

Izuku nervously gulps at that intense stare.

“Eyebags over there was right. You really do have a lovely smile,” Katsuki smirks at him.

People started to gasp, and clapped for the both of them. The black haired dude nudged him, saying ‘way to go Katsuki’ while the red hair started to bark and nudged Katsuki too.

Izuku instantly chokes, and he almost feels like he’s gonna pass out from the overwhelming feeling that his fucking crush just-just ‘HOLY FUCKING SHIT, HE SAID I HAVE A LOVELY SMILE WHASKFHJASF’

Izuku will remember this day for the rest of his life.

The professor chuckles, “Okay settle down guys, I ask you to give feedback for Midoriya’s presentation, not the presenter.”

When classes finished, Katsuki walked past Izuku’s seat and slipped a small note onto his table.

Izuku sits still, and looks at that piece of paper before glancing at Katsuki. He sends Izuku a smirk before walking out of the class.

“Holy shit,” Izuku nervously reached out to the small note sitting near his green stationery bag.

He took a deep breath before opening it to reveal Katsukis neat handwriting on it.

‘Xxx-xxx-xxx - catch up over All Might? Katsuki’

Izuku just can’t wait, so he texted Katsuki later that night and met the blond over for a little coffee date, talking about their favorite superhero all night.

Turns out, they have a lot in common with each other and Izuku has never felt happiest in his life.

They both got together officially in the end after 1 year of getting to know each other, and lived happily ever after.
