Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jim Solbakken.

Two of the biggest crooks in football.

Multiple dodgy transfers, an academy funded with oil money and helping a serial rapist avoid charges.

A thread -
Just to set the scene here.

This isn't the average player/manager agent relationship. Jim Solbakken has been involved with Ole since 1991. They are/were business partners with multiple joint ventures. Solbakken is the godfather of Ole's children.
Whilst Ole was playing for Manchester United, himself and Solbakken were running a running a yearly training camps for young players under the company name "Dynamic Solutions" funded by the Norwegian FA and a state oil company.
In 2008 when he became Manchester United reserves manager, Ole was forced to "sell" his share in Dynamic Solutions to Solbakken due to FA regulations not allowing a manager to be involved with this kind of company due to the obvious conflict of interest.
Over the years since then. There have been multiple reports in the Norwegian media of Ole having money stashed away in offshore accounts and payments being made to him from Dynamic Solutions.
Now, where do Manchester United come into this?

Whilst Ole was Manchester United reserve manager the club signed multiple players that have came through the Statoil academy who were all represented by Solbakken.
Two of these players were Mats Moller Daehli and Magnus Wolf Erikim, both signed from Molde.

Two players that played mostly in the reserves for Ole and never got on the pitch for the first team before being sold back to Molde.

(More on that later)
Another player involved here was Mame Biram Diouf.

Another player that hardly played for United outside of Ole's reserve team. Another player represented by Solbakken. Another player from Molde.

This one is a little more complex with all sorts of shadyness going on.
Solbakken was (alleged) representing both clubs and the player himself in this deal. Something clearly in breach of a load of regulations.

Despite claiming to not be Dioufs agent, Solbakken claimed an absolute ton of "expenses" for Diouf, bit strange?
There's loads more on Diouf but I don't want to clog the thread up with it, most of its covered here.
Another one of these players was Josh King. 0 Manchester United first team appearances.
Onto the next dodgy transfer -

Anders Lindegaard

Few key points here -

Hartis has been dragged around every club with Ole it seems.

Atta Aneke that's involved here is also Ighalo's agent and representative of lots of Africans playing in Norway.
A couple of other parts of this situation with Lindegaard -

- Whilst this was going on United were negotiating with Solbakken to release Ole from his contract to go manage Molde.

- Lindegaard's former agent claims that Solbakken poached his client just before all of this.
So 2010 -

Ole becomes Molde manager.

During his time at Molde he signed multiple Solbakken and Aneke clients. Including Erkim and Daehli back from United. Diouf on loan as well.

Total number is around 8-9 signings from those two agents.
2014 Ole becomes Cardiff manager.

Within days of becoming Cardiff manager, 3 Jim Solbakken clients turn up at Cardiff.

Erkim, Daehli and Berget. All from Molde. Other than Erkim, they hardly get a game during Ole's time there.
By 2015, Ole has been sacked from Cardiff and fucked off back to Molde.

The signings are moved by Solbakken at a huge loss to Cardiff

Again, he signs Erkim for Molde. This is now the 4th time in 6 years he's signed him. Wouldn't be surprised if he rocks up at United soon.
Now. Onto the main event.

During this time he signed Babacar Sarr from Sogndal

At this point he already had one rape accusation against him. Didn't stop Ole or Solbakken from signing him.
In 2017 he was accused of raping another two women, In 2018 he was finally charged with one of them. One of them claimed to have give birth to his child.

Despite this, Molde continued to play him. He was their vice captain. Captained the team twice whilst awaiting a trial.
During this time fans of multiple Norwegian clubs attempted to take anti rape banners into the stadium. Only to be refused entry.

This one (at an away game) translates to "Sugar Daddies, A training camp in a slave state and a rapist, Molde FK a disgrace to Norwegian football"
There is also various reports of the police effectively acting as paid security for Molde.

Two clubs fans attempted to take banners into Molde's stadium. Only to be refused entry and banned for life.
During this time whilst Sarr was awaiting trial Ole was asked about it post match and was clearly visibly unhappy at being pushed on it.
"Is it right for you to play Sarr?"

Ole: "So far we have let him play, that is what the club stands for, We have chosen to trust the player."

"What do you think about it?"

Ole: ”Ok that's it. Let's talk about the game. You can ask the boy how the club has supported him.”
Trial happens. The Norwegian justice system is very complexed and works on a probability basis.

He was not charged on a criminal level, but was ordered to pay compensation to the victims. Both parties appealed this verdict.
Sarr refused to provide a blood sample whilst the trial was going on.

Just a few days before he was due in court. He was released from his Molde contract. With the club thanking him.
Quick note here - Manchester United were negotiating with Solbakken at this time for Ole to be permanent manager so it's highly likely they were aware of the situation.
Sarr was due in court on the 14th of February

Between these two court dates he was accused of raping another woman after a end of season team party.

Somewhere he wouldn't have been if Molde hadn't continued to play him.
A few days before he is due in court, Sarr signs for a team in Russia with the help of Jim Solbakken.

With both of them confirming the move on Instagram.

Russia is a place that has has no extraction treaty with Norway.
Babacar Sarr then fails to attend court.

The trial is rearranged yet again for June that year.

Just before the trial was due to start Babacar Sarr with the help of Solbakken signs for a Damac FC in Saudi Arabia. A place even harder to extradite anyone from.
The last anyone has seen or heard of Babacar Sarr was in January 2020 when he played in a game for Damac FC.
Ole was asked about it in a press conference and clearly rattled.

This part of the press conference was hidden away and not published anywhere apart from MUTV website behind a paywall and later removed.
MPs call for players charged rape to be suspended before trials happen
What happens next? Who knows but one thing is for sure.

Babacar Sarr's career in football is over. There is no trace of him anywhere since January last year and his Instagram has been set to private for months now.
And just before it starts. I won't be arguing with anyone in this thread.
