The first side is;

You can find just one person that you will spend your WHOLE life with.

Your relationship will always be full of love, sex, success.

A lot of people live this kind of lifestyle.

The other side is;

One person has 1+ spouses (polygamy) or intimate relationship (polyamory).

This is not cheating but sharing; everyone knows what's going on.

People do this mostly because of their needs.

So, what people REALLY are? We all know our ancients were polygamous - so are we too?

Let's look this by biological side;

We have a hormone and a neurotransmitter called oxytocin in our brains.

It's also known as LOVE DRUG because its levels higher up when you're having an orgasm and/or hugging.

You also feel empathy, trust and you develop feelings of affection and attachment.

Because of that hormone, people are monogamous.

Because of it, you're looking for 'the one'.

Now, men are usually more polygamous/polyamorous.

Men who are capable of taking care of more than one woman are expected to have more women.

Men have bigger and stronger urges than women.

Also, there's a lot of cheating in relationships these days, so it's more respectful to be in a polyamorous relationships.

It's not cheating, because everyone is aware what's happening.

There are stories that say men used to beg, nagg, force or trick their women into sex, because women didn't have the same sex drive as men did.

We don't know if that's true but that sounds possible, right?

So why would one person (a man mostly) settle to just ONE woman, especially if he can take care of more women?

A lot of men just can't be with one woman, and they find it easier to date multiple women.

So, are people monogamous? Because if they were, why are they still cheating?

Whatever you are, polygamous/polyamorous/monogamous or something else - there are reasons why you are.

And all people are different; you will live the lifestyle that will make YOU happy because that's what's matters the most, right?
