Q: "What framework/factors resulted in you deciding to work on Harold over other ideas you had at that time?" - @iAporv

A: I remember being overwhelmed and stressed. I had so many ideas, but had made no progress on any of them. I was stuck in decision paradox.

I was working w/ a career coach at the time (s/o @lmsanchez) and she asked me to envision my future self.

My future self was working on her own product and was connecting with other makers that I admired.

She then asked which idea would get me closer to that future self.
Out of all my ideas, I thought that if I built the habit tracker one then that would be a good excuse to reach out to @stephsmithio to tell her about how she inspired the project.

That would move me towards my future self of connecting with other makers that I admired.
Seems kind of silly now but, it worked! I reached out to Steph once I had the prototype and she was super nice. We even ended up meeting up in person when we were both in San Diego.

And now I'm working on my own product and connecting w/ makers like her everyday.
So if you need help deciding on an idea or direction:

1. Envision your future self. Like really picture it. Where are you, what are you doing, what are you wearing, etc.
2. Which of your ideas or options moves you closer to that?

(and then DM me + tell me about it!)
