When fascism/totalitarianism comes to Britain it will be in small steps presented as necessary for protecting the English way of life. It will be wrapped up in a flag, greeted with nationalistic songs, and cheered on by smiling leader. We have been heading down that road for some

time and most people don’t seem to have noticed. You have to look at what the government has done and intends to do and it is chilling.
1 Passed a law that allows them to change laws with no vote in Parliament
2 Banning the right to peaceful protest

3 Removing the power of the courts to intervene when the government makes unlawful, unjust or inhumane decisions
4 Redrawing electoral boundaries and removing the power of the Electoral Commission to prosecute electoral fraud or spending violations

5 Inducing museums and educational establishments to only tell a state-approved version of history
6 Putting people in prison for ten years for damaging statues of slavers, mass murderers or predatory paedophiles
7 Creating inhumane concentration camps for asylum seekers

8 Suppressing the votes of minority groups by introducing voter ID rules
9 Removing the power of the courts to refer to human rights decisions made elsewhere
10 Making political appointments to the board of the state broadcaster

11 Accepting financial inducements to change political decisions and when appointing people to the House of Lords
12 Stripping away all political dissent within their own party
13 Diverting public money to only constituencies which voted for them

14 The unlawful prorogation of Parliament
15 undermining the rule of law
16 Breaching our international treaty obligations
17 Attacking the concept of objective truth and lying to Parliament and the electorate with impunity

18 Introducing nationalistic symbols everywhere including all public building and schools and requiring children to be indoctrinated by making them sing nationalistic songs
19 Undermining the powers of the devolved administrations
20 Blatant corruption through procurement

21 Provoking hatred and division through a ‘culture war’ which pretends there is an enemy within who is attacking the English way of life
22 Calling judges and journalists the enemies of the people
23 Making immigration decisions purely to please the mob

People don’t notice when rights are eroded slowly or when conventions are broken. When politicians lie constantly with impunity then eventually people become immune to it. When looked at on their own people might think these measures are reasonable (I don’t) but taken as a whole

it becomes clear that the U.K. is on a very dangerous path indeed and in ten years from now could be completely unrecognisable from the country it was just a decade ago. When the electorate no longer care about truth or the rule of law and are induced by a government to hate

minority groups then history tells us that terrible things can happen. The most terrifying thing about totalitarianism is not that it commits atrocities but that it attacks the concept of objective truth, it aims to own the past as well as the future.

In a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
