The only anatomy book I ever recommend, especially for game artists, is Anatomy for Sculptors

Thereā€™s no superfluous pseudo-science, no horseshit extras, just clean breakdowns of the general body

But also some fun stock images for facial expression examples lol
some more examples of how they breakdown planar surfaces of the body

honestly this has been the primary way Iā€™ve studied for creating my personal style. Simplifying the forms like a sculptor has immensely helped for creating engine friendly aesthetics
the one thing I will say as a word of critique is the use of the phrase ā€œidealized xā€ in this book

A lot of assumed ā€œidealizedā€ forms come from western bias, and should generally be dismissed, but the core anatomy structure is solid
the very last page is baby feet, which cmon, everyone needs to know how to draw the tiny feetsies
iā€™m realizing i gotta study more again, iā€™m flipping through the pages now and lightbulbs are going off for solving some concept issues i had earlier this week lol...
Lastly, Iā€™d like to shamelessly plug my work after I studied with the book a bit last year. Having a fundamental understanding of planar form has vastly improved my art

most of my big stuff is still NDA šŸ˜© but youā€™ll see!!
