Y’all remember in September when I came to work and somebody had trashed the library garden & I tweeted about it and y’all showed all that love and support?

Y’all love & support brought @LarryWDIVLocal4 out to share the story. Once that happened the support nation wide came in all forms of donations. We received books from actual publishing companies.

Then a @Lowes location in the area reached out and came touched up the garden space.

Not only did @Lowes help clean up the garden they donated picnic tables, gardening soil and a Shed.

In addition were able to get a new sidewalk outside the garden and a new security fence.

Throughout the fall/winter months I’ve been organizing a Community Rebuild Day. Partnered with @jenn_alyse & @staylaced_don and they are sponsoring a DJ, Food truck and other fun activities for students and staff. @Artbyphillip will be painting a mural on the new sidewalk.

The Community event is next week & the best part is the kids don’t even know yet! I’ll be back to show y’all the finish product but I really just said all this to thank y’all. W/o y’all retweeting and showing concern none of this would’ve happened.
