Another GDPR fine slashed: Italian regulator Garante fined Fastweb about 4.5 million euro at the beginning of April. But the company has used Garante& #39;s 50% discount scheme, meaning it& #39;s waived its right to appeal, but paid half the original amount.
By my count, that means every million-euro-plus fine levied by Garante has been halved. It& #39;s effective in many ways, given none of the companies involved have appealed - saving the regulator time and money.
